How to make money on D3? Help Please

Far too many farmers which will only get worse, diablo 3 has a truly terrible lifespan also.

The time to farm is pretty much gone.

inb4 smartass guy with 60 accounts say he's still making bank.

Problem now is its just not botters flooding the rmah with items. Gold has become so cheap anyone can buy gold for $1/1m and attempt to turn a profit via GAH>RMAH. That alone will put more items into the RMAH system than any bot could.

Wow, that's cheap. The best I can find in the EU area is 1 Euro for 1 million gold.

I'm currently dealing in weapons (very high DPS, very high min damage). For every 1 million gold spent I'm getting about 3 Euros, pre charges. I was dealing in Jewelry but, the earnings are nowhere near as much as with weapons. Same Euro for gold rate but, weapons sell for a lot more.

I wonder how much longer this can last?

Botting was always affaire worth to speak of in case of owning more than 10 accounts. What would you want, to make money for a decent living with silly 5 accounts ? Or to became a millionaire with 20-30 accounts ? Common, wev seen pictures from farms consisting dozens of dozens accounts - theese are people who are making tens of thousands dollars from this buisness. Besides even if gold sells for 0.2 EUR for mln and You get average 1 Euro per day from selling items on AH, thats still about 3,5-5 Euros per day/account, and 100-150 Euros per month/account. And i would say thats pretty good money considering that You earn it for precisely nothing. The main problem are not dropping profits, but rather raising Blizzard interest in figthing bots. At a moment they either shut down sale or made detectable all bots which are available to the public. Furthermore, they started to making behavior checks which detects not bot programs per se, but rather botting as activity, and in long term is nearly as deadly - all in all, what is difference between being banned in 2 days for running detectable bot or being banned in 2 weeks with "undetectable" Demonbuddy which blizzard doesnt need to detect on computer at all to kill an account?

I agree with everything in this post except for the part of doing "precisely nothing", running 20+ accounts can and will get tedious at times and take up quite a bit of your time especially if you're going to snipe and auction thing's on diablo's AH, even more accounts than that and it will turn into a full time job for you, you WOULD actually be self-employed due to paying taxes also which is quite funny.

I used to run 20+ wow accounts and it was like a job really, especially before AH automation came to play in honorbuddy, I would sell all my mats on separate auctioning accounts by hand every 36-48 hours, shit got tedious but was fun working at home thinking outside the box to make money, you get some crazy looks when you tell people what you do for a living though, I never bothered to explain to most, just bullshitted that I did something else on the side for cash, nobody really understands, probably why botting can be so lucrative at times.

Well, maybe You were trying to maximize Your profits to hard. Before AH automatization, i was runing 6-8 bots, and spending 2 hours daily at putting stuff at AH. When bot was able to do that for me, i was only checking several times per day if everything was working fine, and that was my entire effort with running about 15 accounts on 2 machines. My calculations in last post were made under asumption that considered account would be put on "fire and forget" mode, with maybe like 15 minutes each day spent on putting good items on RMAH with minimal bid.

Of course I was but as you know as time goes on profit goes down for everything so you have to do the extra things to keep that profit up, either by new methods or extra accounts, what about creating new accounts to substitute for your banned ones? dummy accounts? ect. It all takes time, but I don't mind, It's all fun and games :)

Making money is still ridiculously easy trading D3 gold into forum gold on d2jsp then trading forum gold into other games that people will still pay stupid prices for items.
