I've been searching about how to change the MAC address on wireless network and Win7.

I downloaded many programs that can change the address on a WiFi network but didn't work. Anyone know how to do this? Or have I to connect an ethernet cable to my laptop?

Thanks in advance, and sorry if this post do not belong to this forum section :(

not sure if it works on win7 but on winxp you would change the network address string which was the mac address. you find it when you right click your wifi/ethernet adapter, click properties then click on the configure button. you would find the network address string and change it. you can find the same on win7 but i havent tested it.

No mac address is a number that never changes unless you spoof it some routers allow you to do this. You cannot change a mac address in windows settings as far as I know. Several programs allow it though. Changing your network IP address will not change your network cards mac address its built into the hardware itself.
