How to change loot rules... more complicated then it seems?

Does one simply change the Item Rule Set? because i do that and it looks to be unchanged... am i missing something?

you can set or load a new item rule set via a xml file, but if you have something like gilestrinity installed by default its setup to use its own lootrules, not the ones included with demonbuddy.
