New Users: Downloading Mesh/Tile Loading issue [Solved]

The issue that stands right now is loading and unloading of tiles and mesh downloads.

Quite often is the case in the middle of a gathering profile the bot stops then downloads some odd number of meshes in the 20-50ish range then continues. My major concern is when and where. Yes I'm ATK but I've never dealt with a bot that simply stops in the middle of a profile and stands there waiting for a mesh download. Sometimes in excess of 20-30 minutes. I've only owned the keys for about a week but this has been my only internal complaint so far. Mesh downloads and loading of new tiles. Also while loading new tiles the bot stops. 99% of the time on the stop it sits right on top of something it just gathered and stands there looking retarded. While this happens it is vulnerable to attacks.

DOWNLOADING MESHES, THE WAIT, THE WANT, THE PROFILE STOPPING

Is this normal? yes
Is there a way to cache tiles before hand? No. HB uses a LOD system that dynamically loads nav tiles as it needs them.
Is there a way to grab all meshes to keep this from happening? No. You have to traverse an area without nav tiles(meshes) for it to grab ones that you don't have.
Is there some variable to change to preload meshes? No. Other then LOD there is no way to pre-load meshes or nav tiles within or outside of a profile.
Is there some way to predict the LOD? No.

LOD = Load On Demand

OK, so I'm impressed. I like the ease of use and at the same time the configurable options. It's easy to setup profiles and so on. I'm liking it a lot.

I have some questions though. I'm casual in botting. i feel more like an "ethical" botter then anything. I dual box quite often and I use HB for GB2 to help with professions while ATK. My only issue that stands right now is loading and unloading of tiles and mesh downloads.

You see where I'm going with this.

I started to have these mesh issues lately also. If i move the toon manually like 10yards it starts again.. Don't know why this happens but I learned to live with it.

That's why the questions :p I don't want to live with it I want to defeat it like so many other foes :p

Is this normal? yes, you are a new user and have to build your own database of meshes imo.
Is there a way to cache tiles before hand? not really
Is there a way to grab all meshes to keep this from happening? no, because they are always updating meshes.
Is there some variable to change to preload meshes? no

what I did when I was a new user was to run arch bot for awhile and it seem to fetch a lot of meshes for me.... also running a herb/mill toon will also fetch a lot of meshes.

Will try out the archy thing today and see how that goes.

Sounds good except for one thing :

yes, you are a new user and have to build your own database of meshes imo.

What does being a new user have to do with anything, if I have to build meshes because it requires running the bot through zones etc for the first time on a new computer then by all means say that.

What does your opinion have to do with anything? I'm not here for your opinion. I extremely appreciate any help with facts regarding the bot opinions do not help me though.

Summary if I understand everything that you said correctly:

Meshes get updated all the time and are overwritten when new ones come out and you load a specific area that has a new one.
Despite having any meshes on your comp at the time of running a bot there is no way to pre-load tiles for navigation, period.
In order to load the meshes that have not been used on your comp you need to bot the area in question at least one time so it downloads them.

as a new user you dont have all mesh files yet,so Hb needs more time for the nav files it needs

After you have them is there a way to pre-load the tiles specific to a profile so you dont have to wait for unload/load in the middle of a profile if you've been using it?

edit: amazingly quick reply btw

I live your avatar :p

you can preload them,Hb loads them on demand

thx :)

the load on demand issue seems to be the problem other then mesh downloads. So if I make a profile, how do I tell HB to pre-load the tiles without LOD during a profile run?

Don't know what lod means, but if it means load:

Everytime you leave a tile, that hasn't been previously Loaded, it will do that. (loaded=|=downloaded)

Load On Demand - LOD same thing with graphics

Leave a tile or go to one that hasnt been previously loaded?

Sorry for all the questions, I am trying to make a load proof profile at the moment. It's very frustrating when I've been to a spot before 3-4 times and It stops the bot on the ground near hostiles. Unloads a tile then reloads one. My system is no joke in terms of speed and it takes a long long time.

edit:

Changed the title to make it a bit more search friendly and marked it as solved please feel free to lock it up as all the questions were answered quite well. Thank you for your help everyone.

Mine does it while questing. It is quite annoying, I agree.

I've been looking into this myself. It seems pretty clear it from my end at least it tends to take longer to load tiles when it took longer to log in. Making me think it's a server load issue that needs to be looked at?

With this community so heavily invested in SVN technology there needs to be a Zone Based SVN setup where you can manually update the tiles for the particular zones you're going to be in prior to running the bot. I'd wait 2-3 minutes while loading the bot once to avoid the standing around doing nothing while loading tiles issue.
