How to avoid face tanking grift bosses/elites on DH

It seems my DH enjoys face tanking grift/rift bosses and elites. Is there any way to fix this so it will kite them properly? I can't seem to figure it out :/ using a multishot spec where I can 1 shot everything up to grift 42 when I actually play minus some elites/rift guardians so I shouldn't be dying in the 30s so easily if it would just kite.

Do you happen to notice if the bot uses potions when it runs? Mine will not whether legendary or normal at all.

The bot doesn't ever use potions on my DH. It did however use it when I was using my barb

Edit/ also I do have the kiting all mobs enabled on my demon hunter settings as well so really could use someone's suggestions who use a demon hunter

I can't get it use potions on any of my classes. Also, my DH has the same problem of not kiting no matter where I put the settings or what boxes I check. It just runs to the center of mobs then blows it all up. Definitely not what I want especially if it won't use potions. Because of that, I don't let if run GRifts. I just run rifts for trial keys because it does not die in T6 until they get this fixed.

Have you tried reinstalling a fresh dB? I have yet to try that and will when I get home. I'm pretty sure there are some people who run it with demon hunters that aren't having our issues

Have you guys been using TrinityFork? My 2.2mil UE DH can do up to 43 pretty easily with the bot
