How much RAM needed for running 3 d3 clients?

Currently at 4GB on win7 x64.

4GB will do that.

I noticed a huge memory usage from the 1.0.5 d3 client. Atm they are running from 700mo to 1Go ...


They used to max 500Mo.
 
I used to run 4 D3 clients and 4 DBs that took up about 7.5gig of ram.
Judge from there.

will altering gfx settings and doing the *Advance Settings Fix*
Advanced Settings:
Now close Diablo 3, and go to your "My Documents" folder, and open the "Diablo 3" folder - in this folder you will see a file called "D3prefs.txt". Edit this WHILE DIABLO IS CLOSED.
Find these settings and change them to what I have listed below - these will make your graphics VERY VERY BAD!

Antialiasing "0"
DisableTrilinearFiltering "1"
MipBias "2.000000"

I don't know about the advanced fixes. I got my all of my accounts banned (greed turned me into a bad botter) a while ago.
 
Believe I read that Each Diablo 3 client and DB use roughly 1.2gb ram.. looked true when I was watching my usage.
 
somehow with the help of nuking the gfx settings with the *advance settings fix* I am able to run 3 d3's with 3 dbs + firefox on win 7 with 4gb. it shouldnt add up but somehow it is. granted there is some lag at times and game loading is slow.
 
I can barely run 2... When running 3 one if the game would crash after a while..

I still very rarely get this with running 2..
But lowered settings, cleaned out programs i havent had it for a long time

There should also be a program that would close all unwanted files running in the background(who uses your rma) but cant seem to find it, should be from a gaming site... anyone?
