How much computer do I need to bot daiblo 3x at once?

was wondering if anybody here botted d3 with at least 3 clients and what kind of computer do you use?

could you please list specifics?

I was looking to build a computer for this purpose and spend about $700-850 doing it.
 
so you're gonna spend 700-850 and hope that you can make that back, PLUS more from 3 bots?

actually i enjoy botting more than i do playing - i will be managing my 3 little buddies for 2 hours a day and having fun while doing it.

Lol well, i'd say you need 6 gigs of ram
you can get a decent radeon video card for like 150 bucks. (make sure its at least 1gig.)
processor doesnt really need to be much more than a 2.0ghz quad core (thats what im running and i run 4 bots 24/7)
My video card is a 6970m though (alienware laptop)

thats about it.
Shouldnt even cost you 700 bucks.

I know this computer runs 4 bots + web without any problems. Just as a reference...
 
i run mine at 640x512 res and db+d3 is 900mb each
with 3 bots u can make 10~20 dollars a day so... if he sticks it out for 2 months then he'd get the money back... assuming the market doesnt get worse

Running 3 bots you would need 3 DB and 3 D3 CD Keys right ?

Sorry if this response is too late to help you. I am currently running 4x D3's and 3x DB , playing the 4th d3 manual. I have 8 gb or working ram ( RMA'ing 16 gb that went bad on me :( ) and it all runs smooth. Memory usage is at about 75-85% depending on how long i've been running. I've seen D3 use 1.3-2.0GB per copy. 6gb would probably cut the 3x mark but it could be close depending on how efficient your machine and system is. My cpu is running at 23% because it is a i7 920, but i'm running stock right now at 2.6ghz... My graphics is running at 13% because i'm stupid and have 2x GTX480's. One note as well is all 3 copies are running on the same sata 2 conventional 7200 rpm HD with no problems. My manual play copy is on a ssd.

So, I think with a i5, 8gb, gtx560 or even cheaper you could run 3x. I haven't priced systems in over a year, but I think you could come in solid at 550-700. Maybe even cheaper, or spend the 700-850 and have a system that could probably handle 5-6. PM me if you need any further info. I'm not an expert at all, but i've built 5 or 6 pc's from scratch over the last 7 or 8 years. Good luck to you, and if you run 24/7 with the current market conditions you'll make your money back but it will take you a few months unless you are lucky. :)

this is absolutely TERRIBLE advice, why spend so much money on a video card and so little ram?

3x diablos would be hard pressed with 6 gigs of ram running overnight (resources increase).

as for video card a $80-100 one from radeon/nvidia would easily run 4x copies.


I bought an i7 HP Elite from craigslist for $500 (came with keyboard/mouse/monitor).

it runs 3x copies no problem ;) i'd say if you wanna save some cash get one like that, if you wanna build your shit, newegg.com it up.

I made different experiences. The GPU doesn't really matter. Im running 5 bots and my gtx 580 is used by 15%, about 100mb usage vram per client. But the more bots you want to handle, the better CPU you need. Not only for the D3 clients, DB is using some CPU amout as well.

8 gig of ram is minimum. Would you even buy a pc with just 4 gig of ram?
