How many times can we use the Auth key?

Hi I was trying to mod my main and secondary account for Pokemon Go but when I opened the program a second time it said my auth key was invalid while the same one was running in the background on my main account. Is there a limit to how many sessions there can be per auth key or is it a error on my end?

It's 1 session per auth key.

That's how buddy products have been all along. If you wanted to bot more than 1 session at once, you have to buy multiple keys.
