How many bots can I run on this machine

I know this from experience, 8 gigs will get you four bots, barely. Even then it will swap to the HD a little bit after running for a while. Any more than four will run like complete crap.
 
I've done 5 bots with 8 gigs but it gets really dicey, you need to minimize windows background to absolute minimum. with 16gb and that rig you can push 8 easy

i thought the cpu was more of a limitation

with 3x my cpu is at 90% +

ram is at 75%~

also i just watch demonbuddy.exe for awhile and see it can spike up to almost 20% while a D3 client is 15-25% wtf? is that normal?

i am only running trin and stats with yar

make sure you set your d3 fps to 15 max, no sound, all detail to low etc. you should not be getting 90% with 3x bot.

You must have been running XP then, with Windows 7 even with all services stripped down to minimum 8gb would just not cut it. I finally upgraded my botting rig to an 8-core FX cpu and 16gb. Now have 10 bots running with about 14gb memory usage and less then 50% CPU usage. This would run 20+ bots maybe more with enough memory.
 
You guys still finding it worth botting with multi bots, been running them for a bit and dont even think i have even left the red yet. Hopefully loot 2.0 is before they close AH, im sure people will be back playing for that

I'm at 45% CPU with 10 bots and 25fps on all of them with no overclock and no tweaks. You obviously have not played around with the fx-8350. It's like it was made for D3 botting. Yes. 20. At least.

yeah right ;) nice trolling. you arent getting more than 8-9 on an fx-8350 and thats 90%+ cpu
 
I have several i7 rigs, and I thought I would give the fx a go on one more, They are basically all the same except for the CPU/Motherboard combo. All have 16gb DDR3 with 2GB GTX 560 GPU. I can tell you that this setup performs about 90% as well as the i7 rigs, and costs half as much. Don't really care if you think I am trolling or not...

You should tell us more information like:

what class you bot witk
what mp you want to bot
with/without rendering game
how many tps you want to use
with/without customized setup of all software
with/without overlocking
with/without "BOX" cooler on cpu
if your gpu is "TI" type or not
what is your cpu type exacly

Afterwards i can answer your question.
