How long does it take to update offsets?

Let me answer my own question: Not very long.

Before the replies explode out in the fashion of "Leave the devs alone!", please hear me out. Virtually every other paid and free bot on the internet has already had their offsets updated, including Gatherbuddy. What is taking so long?

I understand that the developers are also working on solving issues with SOTA, but why can't this wait for a later release? The entire community is waiting for offsets to be updated, not strand of the ancients. IMO the developers should have fixed the offsets, released the updated version and then started work on the SOTA issues afterwards.

Don't get me wrong, I think that overall HB is a good product, otherwise I would not have purchased two sessions. I simply fail to understand why the community doesn't have a new release with updated offsets at the moment.
 
Your going to get flamed like mad crazy, but thats expected.

I must say tho.. I agree with you. Community here has never been all that great on informing us whats going on. It takes a day+ to get some information, and generally that information isnt correct.

There could be some more serious things they are working on besides offsets/SotA, but we wouldnt know because they dont tell us anything.

I agee whit what is said here. I get they are busy but twitter would be a great or even facebook to some extent for coding updates especialy in times that the bot is down. People will be a lot more paciant when they can see that it's beign worked on.
 
It's simple to explain, gatherbuddy is completely stable and just need to be updated as you said.
Honorbuddy against this is full of bugs, believe me endless bugs, which let me think sometimes they
will perhaps never end.
 
Im not very technically minded with computers etc so i cannot comment on how long this should take to update or what is even being updated. My point is this: if they could update it quickly.. why wouldnt they? I cannot see that all this downtime has any positive effect on the bot at all - just discourages other people from buying it, so im sure they will release it when they can. No matter how much updating we have, its not really going to change the fact that it will be fixed when its fixed tbh. All these posts seem to have the same thing in mind that its some kinda conspiracy that its not up etc.

Ahh a new thread to speculate and whine about when its gonne be ready. I have top secret info on when it will be ready....twist my arm and I will tell you all.

Ouuuch....I said twist not break.....So ok HERE IS THE TOP SECRET INFO----------->>>>> HB will be ready when its ready :)

Have a donut and go play wow manually or read a book or walk outside and get some fresh air lol
 
Im certain that HB uses a huge set of offsets then bot is back up and running. Remember this bot can basically use the entire WoW API.

Not like other bots that only uses one or two offsets to read character position, you health / mana (simple values really), and target information.
 
Bossland has been on since 7 o clock this morning count that up with the hours from yesterday + 2 man working on HB they should've been patching the minor patch by now, iff not i find they're responisibility to atleast inform the community members on here who are waiting and F5ing the whole day about whats going on in the development. Speaking of Quality and the price we pay for GB lifetime 80 € is not less so i'd expect a little more proffesional way of treating members whats not happening sadly enough..

Iff Bossland and his informer who are working on HB cant fix things on time they should start trialing people who have also knowledge about bots for further patches for a faster release..
Anyway still trying to be pattient and waiting since Yesterday 10 AM Paris time GTM+1 its been near 29 hours now..

I might have it all wrong but this is my opinion iff i'm alowed to have a opinion..

Meh, I will wait for now, but once my sub is done then I am going elsewhere

Yes there are tit-bits of info in the now-closed TEST HB thread. But with all the BS written in there you'd be hard pressed to find it.

Guys (Bossland, developers), I appreciate that you have spent and are spending a LOT of time working on getting this bot sorted for a (hopefully) pain free release. I know that when it is released it will be awesome compared to all others and I will continue to level several toons using it.

But, some information would be nice.... please?
We're not asking for definites, not asking for an in-depth analysis of every bit of code or every issue that needs to be over-come. Just for some information that the product that we paid for is going to be ready to use in our lifetime (lol).

I've seen the admins have enough time to flame people on here, flame me please but provide a lil info too.

Ok so I'll give you the real top secret info i had and the source.

I submitted your question.."How long does it take to update offsets?" to my favorite source of information....THE MAGIC 8 BALL and the answer was "Outlook not so good"

But I usually just shake it up till I get the answer I want so I kept trying and I finally got an answer for ya....."Outlook good"

So if you dont believe me then just get your own magic 8 ball....google MAGIC 8 BALL lol :)



 
bingbang that piece of text is from yesterday 13:00 Paris time GTM+1 around 24 hours ago, when Apoc editted the original post and added (SotA requires some structure updates, so it should hopefully be finished within 2 hours)
a cruel 12 hours past by and bossland made the topic HB is done, with announcing that 95 % chance he would release it today, but as the hours passes by i feel like its gonna take another day. and thats like 2 promisses in 2 days which were not liven up to..

Here's the problem with posts like yours. You are not speaking from first hand experience, so therefore you don't know all the variables in this situation. Did you consider that perhaps they are not only working on "offsets" but fixing other bugs, adding features, ensuring that they have proper protection against warden, etc. ? You speak from a position of knowledge, yet you have none. In fairness, I'm in the same boat with you, waiting for an update. Here's the difference between you and I: I have patience. Of course I want a release now, just like anyone else does. But your impatience isn't going to lead to anything positive. Only the people on the dev team know what they are working on, what caused delays, what they are adding, etc. Try, just for a moment, to step back and look at the larger picture here.

I'm not trying single you out but this is why devs don't like giving information like that. When something delays that there is a outburst on the forums talking about "promises broken".
 
What does this have to do with us "costummers"? It's they're responsibility to set the quality and make the money worth it isn't it?

I can understand that surten people are pissed off that it takes a while etc, but i know whatever we say or surten people say it aint gonna speed up the process, just have to wait for bossland to make a official statement somewhere, i see he's online on the forum atm so hoping for good news people..

And i ain't trying to be a douchebag or anything, just simply writing down how i think about the things that happen about how surten situations are handled within this community..
