Because I couldn't actually find a thread but it's common sense it would of been posted? And it matters because I'm curious how long people usually go without running into issues.

The less the better.

I have been in near 36 hrs with small breaks.
But I wasn't just doing gb2 the whole time.

Ask yourself, would I stay doing this for this long the whole time?
Usually the answer is no.

never off maybe tuesday night because of the server down

I know this has been posted before but I wanted to do a poll.

I take advantage of the ARelog program with this.

My max time I bot is 8hrs. Goes off for 8 then rinse and repeat.
I've had this process to limit the chances of being recognized by other players that have potential threat to compromise my account via report.

I run 3 accounts at the same time, all three in different comps, with different schedule and different internet (got a truck load of people on my apartment parameters that has no WEP key on their WiFi)

So far, I've had no one whisper, nor get any suspension.

I get approx. 90K per week. A total of 360K per/mo.

All you really have to worry about is your electricity bill, but since I'm working as a Nurse Practitioner here in MD Anderson Cancer Center @ Houston, TX , money rolls pretty quick :]

I run for 24/7, 1 character will make minimum 100k per week, most of the time a lot more.

Its a nice earner for me :)

Personally i run about 12 hrs a day. 5 or so days a week.

If you don't like it, don't post.
Also it's nice to have an updated poll on how long people tend to bot for.
I tend to find a lot of useful information in these kind of topics, using this information can minimize the risk of been caught.

Can also help Blizz by offering up info on how we do things.

It helps you, but hurts the community more in the longer run.

Care to explain to me why this is an open forum where it does not require registration to view this thread?

you guys that bot more than 8 hours must do it on a low population server. try that on a busy server and you are bound to be reported by another player, especially if you ninja nodes. After being banned, now I limit it to what a live player would do -- 1 1/2 to 2 hours max per session.

Its been discussed many times of why.

It will be staying an open forum.

I currently have been botting 8 hrs on my farmers and then another 8-10 hrs on my other characters I have been leveling on different servers. I don't do more then 8 hrs at a time in GB2 for the most part, but that's just my general rule of thumb.

I've botted on a fuck ton of games, including WoW and RS (A lot more, too lazy to name them) and I've always botted 24/7. I've never been banned.

For now I'll let it slide.

I understand there are those who bot 24/7.
For beginners it is not a good idea.
They aren't experienced with what works perfectly with the bot, and what doesn't.
It' just a bad idea, even if you know exactly what you are doing.
You may never get banned, and those who only bot 2-4 hours can get a ban.

Better safe than sorry (or out of the invested money) though.

But just for your further reference,
Next time don't make it in any way seem like you are attacking me.

Thanks,
Panda.

My main account runs WoW just about 247..... My IP runs WoW 247 without a doubt. sometimes i switch between my account and my wifes but usaully only 8-12 hours on hers the rest of the time i play mine during the day and then at night i bot it. Never has a temp bann on any account. But i do switch toons often and change what type of bot im using.. such as PvP GB2 questing ect ect.

Follow these steps and you'll never lose your accounts.
Step 1. Download a program that allows you to hide your IP Address. Here's a good one that I use. Hide-My-IP.Com - Hide Your IP Address, Surf Anonymously, and Protect Your Identity
I only farm Herb/mining. (All my farmers have Mining/herb and they farm Uldum/Twilight Highlands.
The profiles I use are: For Twilight Highlands I used Tonys Mining/herb profile which can be found here - http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorb...-mines-herbs-high-end-run-v-3-5-alliance.html
For Uldum I use Zuabros' - http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorb...m-complete-collection-gathering-profiles.html - [GB2] Zuabros' Uldum Min+Herb 1.8.xml‎
Step 2. When leveling 1-85 (I usually do RaF 1-80 and get people to run me through instances) make sure to always be hiding your IP address (Play the character on your IP address at first) and when you're playing manually, be sure to be using your very own personal IP address. That way, when you contact blizzard when you've been banned, they'll check the IP logs, and confirm that you've been hacked!
Step 3. For me, when I have my farm bots on (24/7 of course), I always have my IP hidden, and then when i'm done botting every 3-4 days or so and I feel like playing manually like raiding or doing dailys and such, I turn my proxy IP off, that way if I ever get banned then I can contact blizzard and they'll see I've been hacked.
Tip: Try and use the same proxy IP address as possible, but not too much.
/End thread.
