How is the gold selling business as of this moment?

Given one wow account, how much money can you expect to make a month? Hell even 100 dollars a month is good enough for me.
100 dollars is achiveable, atm. i'm making 130 dollars profit with each account.

Worst Advice and Calculations ever. I am currently running 3 accounts they each run on Avg. 3-4 hours to fill the 4 36 slots bags..witch is 72 herb 72 ore. That is only 216 stacks of Herb / ore a day. herbs - 5400g (@ 25g / stack) ore - 7560 (@35g / Stack). That means each day in 3 - 4 hours I pull in 12960g (and that is only 4 HOURS most a day) which at 30 days a month is 388 800g. And if your smart with that method u can run the 3 accounts around the clock spaced 8 hours apart from each log in and double that number without even upping your risk.

I haven't botted in a year, but aren't those prices a bit high? On high population servers, Green Tea Leaf and Ghost Iron Ore is at 10g/15g / stack.

The gold is dirt cheap now, twice cheaper than month ago. It is impossible to get decent profits by WoW botting unless you are very familiar with the business.

The resellers offer about 0.15 euro/k and that's ridiculous.

Better stack your gold and wait for the expansion or find another game to bot.

nope thats what i currently sell for and its on avg. 10-15 gold under AH

Ugh I hate when people make generalizations about prices of items.

It ALWAYS depends on the unique, individual server. I'm only on high pop and full pop realms and while one has the prices you state, the others I have no problem getting 20g for herbs (30-35 for cap) and 40-45 a stack for ore.

Im right there with you.. everyone assumes they know the situation and demand on every server bc thats how their server is. When i posted prices it was avg from my server they go up and they go down, I was just trying to give someone some helpful advice, Ideas to make his 100$ a month off 1 bot, and people decide to rip down the idea instead of just helping with the question.

With 5 chars (no mop, only 85er). 4 farming. 1 char with profession. no need of AH. ~40-45k/day (no pick pocket stuff) 14-22€ per pack/per day.
:)

if you want to make profit look at other games currently, gold prices have tanked. it's seriously at like .35/k that websites are buying for right now.

unless you can make a lot i wouldn't advise it but that's just me and i have botted for a while so please no "lol u nvr bot" threads

hi, is selling gold still profitable as of this moment? Is there a high liquidity or do you have to wait a long downtime while finding buyers? I plan to sell directly to gold seller websites only. Thanks in advance.
well I get around the 0,55$ per k on me server and my buyer says it will get higher, but he can't say when(he lies I think)
but I should just wait and stack-up some gold or start selling ondemand because selling without that will kill the price even more

You guys are missing the point. WOW is the only game I understand, taking the time to learn another game just isn't worth the effort. I only need to make a minimum of 100 a month from wow, so I can put that 100 a month into other business ventures and make back 10 times the money. And, I already have a real job, selling gold is just extra side income for me.

yes, you can easily make $100 a month botting but the time you'd put into it will equate to maybe 1/5th of minimum wage. even if you bot the entire time, your bot cant sell the gold and get in contact with people etc etc, change your profiles enough to not get banned etc, i'd give a more detailed response but trust me when i say unless you're a large scale farmer or a reseller you wont make shit for the time required

If you had a full time job and "several side businesses", $100 would surely be barely worth an effort and if you could turn it into $1000, you'd be better off taking a loan or borrowing it from someone rather and becoming a millionaire in no time.

The economy is tough, you take what ever free money that is available, considering all you have to do is leave your bot on and not do anything else. The price of labor is dictated by skill. Seeing how you can make 100 dollars a month without doing anything, that seems like a really good deal.

I think Bossland made a long long post about this subject a few years ago, you can begin there.

But the prices atm. are very hard to compete against proffesional sellers. a Protip would be to start small, i come from Denmark and started to sell to my friends in my guild. Now my friends have said to their friends they could just contant me whenever they needed gold. Im a known name in the industry now(somewhat i think atleast).
I wont give you all of my secrets, but a very good tip is to not overflood the AH. Something i did till roughly a month ago was have 10 bots running Black Temple, but i found other ways to achieve gold, that i like more. (the BT way is very good, hard to track, aint other people, etc.)

Also, as a long-term investment, it's not worth using public profiles(even tho i released some of mine to the public >_>). I also think it was mentioned earlier that point, but wanted to be sure.

anyways GL dude.

It's really, really bad. ESO ruined gold demand and Chinese dupers made so much duped gold that there's literally no demand for gold right now.

I'm sitting on 500k across two servers and I can't get rid of it.

Ill give you .25 a k for all of it

Dug up this thread as I am too looking getting back into the gold selling business albeit in a larger scale (around 4-5 accounts per realm on 5 different realms), I've been botting since mid-WoTLK so I know the tricks of the trade and all that comes with it but the most critical info I am missing are the gold prices! Selling to the Chinese resellers is unavoidable as I rarely manage to unload the 450-600k I used to make per month (the last time I botted, that was back in august) just by selling to people on mmowned and the like, if the gold prices have indeed plummeted how come there are posters in this thread claiming to receive 0.55$/k, which is IMHO a pretty penny compared to what others have mentioned.
