How important is potion of luck?

I haven't used HB in about a year. I added a timecard to the wrong account (one that's on its final warning) so it has 3 months to bot, and I don't really mind if it gets banned. I'm currently farming Skyshards but I should probably be doing PoS or whatever that pure gold farm is, I'll probably change eventually.

My main question is: do you need to use potion of luck to farm effectively these days? I've seen quite a few profiles that talk about using potion of luck. I never really used them in the past, because they seemed to be more expensive than they were worth. Has this changed?

They are nice if you have an alchemist (especially so you can make your own), from all the motes you'll be getting you can convert the spirit of harmonies to golden lotus for flasks. The treasures also drop cloth/ore/leather.

So if you are going to farm packs of mobs on Pandaria, then yes, use them, but using them with say gatherbuddy would be a pretty big waste in my opinion.

I made 20 Potions and tried to sell em for 25g. No takers.

they sell well enough on my server, i wouldnt use those skyshard profiles heard high ban rates from them.
