How far will gold drop on US RMAH

I don't expect much action until next Thursday, but is kinda meh for today/tomorrow.

Gold is staying surprisingly strong this time. It peaked at around 1.7/.71/50 tonight on US. I'm curious to see if it stays strong friday and the first part of next week. It seems we've gotten a little more buyers since the bad news has faded. I guess they got tired of waiting around.

Hope to see it stay high till next wave and break $2.25/50 or something. Would be pretty nice.

Items however ... have taken a beating over the last 2-3 weeks. Even some of the high end are finally losing noticeable ground.

Item market has become horrible. I wonder if with these gold prices, and with the item market quickly dying, it is more suitable money-wise to switch to high GPH bots?

Atm ... as bad as items are getting ... it's still a no contest win for items.

You'd be hard pressed to get a DB bot to perform above 1-1.2m Gph while multiple item find setups run at 3-6m/hr if you keep track. Its skewed based on # of bots running and probability but my average has stayed around 4.5-5.5m/hr for a good 10 weeks now.

The only other option i know of that produces enough pure gold to pay for the d3 keys and itself gets banned every 2-4 weeks and still doesnt make money w/o items.

Whoa, sold a rare gloves on RMAH. crazy stats for $40, would've been easy $250 a couple months ago. These days you take what you can get...

Yeah a few weeks ago I got a great item and accidentally put the min bid too low on RMAH and it was sniped

How is the auction house shutting down lowering the price of gold? Wouldn't people want to stock up on gold prior to it shutting down for crafting and such?

Well, Blizzard can troll everyone once again (as they did with the announcement of AH closure) and declare that "Hello, fellow D3 fans... we have decided that in order to really experience the spirit of new expansion yada yada yada.. so everyone should start over from clean slate, so we are going to delete all gold on your existing accounts...and implement a new in game currency....have a nice day".
I know that sounds very improbable, but then again so was closing of auctions before it really happened. I mean, would anyone listen if back in August someone would have started a topic and said "hey guys, have you thought that Blizzard can close the RMAH and GAH?"
No. You probably wouldn't believe him. I wouldn't believe him. And the guy who would have said that would be called an idiot, tinfoil hat holder and so on. Exactly like was the guy who warned people about Apoc starter might have been the cause of bans. Everyone thought that RMAH was a "cash cow" that brings Blizzard enormous profits, no one thought it was possible (well certainly not the closure of GAH).
But it happened, nevertheless. Now - i'm not suggesting that Blizzard will actually do a gold wipe. It's just nothing is impossible anymore. They proven that they're up for anything.

Personally, i waiting out for BlizzCon in November, hopefully there will be some good news.

I didnt thought RMAH is giving them enormous profits, with gold price quckly declined to few pennies, and flat 1 Eur for every item regardless of its price it seemt very probable for me that they werent making alot of money past first few months after premiere. However i thought that they rather fix the game to make more profits out of it, rather than just delete RMAH.

Down to $1.45 and shows no signs of stopping. If there is no banwave soon then we are toast.

I dont expect bans tomorrow off a single realm 3 hour maint but could happen. ( kinda hope it does but i have bets on both sides).

I think next tuesday/wed will bring 8 hour / extended and wave ... but its all just speculation anyway.

Wave came just now ... time to make some money ^^.
Really? DB forums are clear and my Chinese source not reporting anything... but they have been silent lately. We will see, but big Chinese ban waves are always good news :)

It happened ... trust me or not is up to you.

Just go look at last 10 gold price.

And my source is a 3 digit secondary farm of another program and contacts ^^.

no no i dont doubt you. you have been trust worthy in the past, so i am happy :)

Well ... that was short lived ... afraid its going to get really bad this next stretch =(.

Praying for good blizzcon news... maybe lvl60 loot 2.0 info or something.

Got to look at it realistically, nobody will spend on d3 items more than few bucks anymore, knowing that after march everything will go to trash with loot 2.0 and ladder. Its over till RoS, and even then, without any sort of AH, and Blizzard new policy of catering towards "self-found" carebears, perspectives for profits are looking grim at best.

1.41/50 is still decent money ... its still higher than it was previous to any of these announced changes.

Big china will start listing in 1-2 days ... if it holds at 1.35-1.4/50 after this weekend I will be more than happy for the moment, but I expect another drop shortly.

Lots of things are in the cons column atm ... blizzcon comes in about 3 weeks and the prices always suffer greatest before anticipated news. It could either get better or a lot worse.
