From all that I have seen, most bans are from reports.
These reports then come because most of the time, not all the time.
- People will see your/the bot running stupidly into trees, walls, off cliffs and so forth.
- Poor mob managment (running straight at fel reaver when your toon is level 58), and so forth.
- See your ah toon on the ah all day every day, just selling selling selling, when there is not that ammount of materials available to the normal person. (I had a buddy that did not bot, but he had 3 chinese farmers that he baught from daily and was banned)
- Seeing someone in the same place killing the same mobs for hours on end, or seeing them logged on for 24/7. (they can just add you to friends list to see how often you are logged on)
- You have then when someone posts hundreds of the same mats on the ah in stupid bulk ammounts.
You then have automated bans.
- Though I am not sure but I also believe if you have posted x ammount of y mat to many times in a manor that a normal person could not get that much with out using a bot, on to the ah.
- Third party software detection, not just bots, but hacks fall under this also.
- Sharing accounts
- Selling/buying gold.
- Selling/buying accounts.
You then have things where a gm could be watching you.
- From player reports.
- You opened a ticket and they went to talk with you. (Something you should not be doing from a bot account)
For the tripwire, yes it can save stuff. But at the same time warden can still do dmg till it goes into effect. So with this said, yes warden can change and then ban hundreds if not thousands that are on. But those that are currently not on, when they go to log on and are not able to log into hb/gb can be saved. Though in theroy it will turn both off from allowing people to log onto there bots, and kick all those online with them offline from the hb/gb service.
