How do you set up your hunter on GB?

What moves do you guys use for your GB? Mine always gets his ass handed to him by lower level stuff.

Step 1 Create macro add:
#showtooltip
/castsequence [reset=target] Serpent Sting, Explosive Shot, Aimed Shot, Steady Shot, Explosive Shot, Steady Shot, Steady Shot, Explosive Shot, Aimed Shot, Steady Shot, Explosive Shot

Configure if you don't have a certain shot, or remove.

Step 2). Drag the macro on Bar 3 slot 6-7-8. on all three slots. Then your done.

shouldnt he deterence first otherwise he will just be in melee range?

That macro should probably include a /PetAtack in there somewhere. Your pet is a huge part of saving your ass using GB as a hunter. Make sure you're using PetAttack and make sure you pet's growl is on. GB will range itself to use your ranged attacks.

I agree, most times my BM hunter doesn't even touch the mob, the pet does all the work.

usually hunters will have their pet on defensive, 1 shot pet goes after it, even first sign of threat pet will go after it..

The problem with my hunter is that he never goes at range.

I've seen a lot of whisper asking why I was fighting in melee.
