How do you guys make gold?

I've been banned on 6/6 accounts running AGB a few weeks back. I have since tried to farm champs with a poorly geared barb, and the gold returns is just pathetic.

Can I get any advice from any one that is still fetching a decent amount of GPH? What profiles do you use?
 
I have never been one of the badass mofo's running 10 clients on 9 VM's or anything like that but up until a week ago I was botting on three accounts - two of which got banned - and made something between 500k-750k/hour/char which is probably similar to what you were getting. After the ban I started writing my own profiles but until I become more efficient I am running longer profiles like SWOL's Queen + Sarkoth which reduces games per hour to 12 and my gph is at about 200k with a meager 205% GF.

200k per hour is a fraction of what I made per character before but it's better than say 80k and I have shit gold find atm so people can do better.

there isnt really gold farming with game limits so it is pretty much a thing of the past, unless you wish to constantly hit game caps and risk ban at higher rates

No Sir I just happened to leave 2 of them on over night on the exact same day as the biggest ban wave I've seen or heard of in d3 yet :P probably would have gotten banned any other day but it was rather ironic that I picked that day to start afk botting...
 
Core of arreats and Fields of Slaughter in hell with 380k~420k GPH for my witch doctor. I'm using 4 different core+fields profiles with different waypoints. Just change profile with profile restarter for each time the game was ended. I just modify the profile, for example, the bot will run a clockwise direction from waypoint 1 to 10 in fields of slaugther, i can just copy a new profile to reverse all the waypoints direction from waypoint 10 to 1. Besides, I also record my own waypoints by using BossHog ProfileBuilder in core of arreat.

So, my bot is running different waypoints for every new game.

you willing to help me with it? I can pay you for a profile. but i use barbs and dh only. no wd.
 
I'm just botting act 2/3 a couple hours a day and then I take a act 3 clear every day myself, net's me a couple hundred euro a week in items :)
 
I was gonna make the same topic, but saw this one.
I have a DH with 277% GF 15k HP and 17k DPS(no sharp) 11% MS.

I am Farming Core/FOS/Sky on NM and i am getting only 220k GPH I 1 shot mobs is not a problem at all to kill them ah my passive regen heals any dmg i get.
I tried it on Hell, but elites rape me with that kind of gear so i am stuck in the middle.. I was originally buying gear it for Sark runs, but that was fixed.
Can someone give a advice what to do? Even if i reach 350GPH i will be happy. 220GPH is like 4hours for 1mil i won't be able to even pay the game before i get hammered.
 
champion farming will net you greater gold if you can do those. Im avg 100 gph and tons of items on my bot im avg little over 10mil per day per bot for about 12-18 hour rotations. that selling off crafting mats selling off gems and all the gear i find as well. Alot of the gear goes straight to RMAH sold 2 pair of gloves for 100 usd and bracers for 75 and boots for 15 this week. plus the gold ive been selling. Big ticket items i put on RMAH ok stuff i put on GAH just to get out of my inventory fast. to keep gold stock up to sell that. obviously if you sell a 100 usd item its better then selling 100 usd worth of gold because its only 1usd + 15%usd fees instead of 15% 15%.

Use these formulas to determine your success:

If you sell @ x, you will get y dollars transferring the money to your bank account [this assumes a 2.9% + .30c fee in the US from Paypal].
.7015475x-.30 = y

If you aren't getting fees (which I didn't for some reason), use this:
.7225x = y

If you then take y and plug the value in here:

1.1764171y / (Price/million of gold) then it will tell you in millions the gold price equivalent.

Example:

I sold $8 worth of tomes.

I got 5.78 [although this SHOULD have been 5.31 after fees but I wasn't charged for some reason].

At $1.90/million gold I would have had to sell those tomes for 3,578,784 gold to break even.

Yeah, nobody is going to pay 3,578,784 for 32 tomes. That's 111,837g each. They were going for almost 600g last night.

So obviously I made out like a bandit on this selling them on the RMAH because at $1.90 / million gold it means the tomes are actually worth .0009c.

I got 277x the value on the RMAH than I did on the GAH for these tomes given the price of gold when I sold them.

All you have to do is figure out which number gives you more value - RMAH or GAH. :P

Go profit.

Jackie, do people usually bid on your big ticket items on RMAH, or is it mostly buyouts?
