Lets take a look at their reasoning for this:
1. Lawsuit costs - No new lawsuits have been filed since the April post that stated lifetime keys would be unchanged. So this is complete bull. You had these same costs when you posted in April. Also numerous posts about these lawsuits have said every time bossland wins, blizzard has to pay the legal fees. Stop trying to double dip the chip!
2. Developer costs - This entire bot was built by the community. Every major developer they have started as a community dev. Every major feature of the bot was done by the community. Just because they hired those people after the fact does not mean that it was done by the "bossland staff". Now that they have ruined the community, they will no longer have any decent ideas, and the bugs will never get fixed. Case in point - all the CRs in DB are from season 7. Good job staff. way to earn that premium "developer cost"!
3. Lack of new purchases - We used to tell all of our friends about the buddy bots. We used to praise them because they worked so well and hardly ever got detected. When they were detected tripwire was working great and saved tons of accounts. We could tell our friends that the bot was very low chance of getting banned. We cannot do that anymore. The bot is detected every other week and ban waves come more and more often. You want to know why you dont get new business? You dont use those "developer costs" that you mentioned to actually do anything for the bot. And you also treat your customers like crap. 5 years with this company and multiple lifetime keys later they say F you! give us more money. They forget that the people with lifetime keys from 5 years ago are the only reason their company even still exists. We bought your shit when it was still new and untested. We gave you the start up money that enabled you to create more and more bots. We did that. Not you.
So now that all of their "reasons" have been destroyed...I wonder what lie they want us to believe next.
