How dangerous is it just to level alts right now?

It doesnt matter what kind of bot you are using. Risk is same for quest bot or Combat Routine bot.

I quit using my Warlock becasue the routine was so good it was easy to spot as a bot imho.

Now I know you can actually play by hand near that good but people are report happy right now with anything. just to clarify my statement

I stopped botting on my Main account after the first banwave.

Then i started botting a new account, leveled it to 90 done some LFD's(Only CR no gold farming) + siting afk in SW/Goldshire.
Poop got banned on the Dec 16, 2015 banwave. ( i didn't really care, i just wanted to bot and test it my self )

If you bot, you WILL eventually get caught.

That's honestly all in your head, I've been rotation botting since WotLK, across multiple guilds, and I've NEVER, EVER, been called out for such... players just consider you a really good player.

Rotations in WoW aren't THAT hard, and running one doesn't at all guarantee you'll be ranking in the top 10 on WoL constantly within your ilvl.

If you're that scared you can just pause the bot every minute for 4-6 seconds to diminish the performance.

There are differences between the types of bans.

If you get caught in a wave; no amount of safe practice will keep you safe, its just your time.

If you get banned from player reports then you have probably been careless.

I wasnt careless, I was just in a guild that in hindsight was super sensitive to botters and it was when I ran a few raids with them that it was apparent from thier comments on Vent that they knew right away I was botting and called me out on it. I can appreciate you are defensive protecting what you feel is right, but that was my honest experience. perhaps I interrupted too fast or maybe the perfection of dotting was really stellar or something but they sniffed me out and told on me.

No bro I don't mean any offense, and you're right I guess in your situation it is possible to get called out.

If you're raiding with a guild you've been in with a while, and you played manual for quite a bit, and then over night you become a demigod with rotations, eyebrows will probably raise.... ESPECIALLY if they knew you were botting on the side for gold/quest/leveling alts whatever.

If you were to join a fresh guild, they would be none the wiser and could never prove it.

Never let your guildies know, no matter how much of a 'friend' you think you are, that you use HB. NEVER.

ahah really? i'm assuming you mean demonic? i've been using demonic since 2013 and no problems with me, i think you might've left auto-buff on or something which can be really obvious. or, you know, if you had no clue what the bot was doing etc

ive been botting daily for past year and a half from 2hours- 12 hours a day. doing different things different days. if u farm one thing daily ofc ull get flagged. i never do the same shit daily and all day.. ive never been banned. when people say they have been banned x amount of times HOW fucking stupid are you? are you farming the black tabby 12 hours a day 7 days a week? are you a moron? common sense? is it gone? was it never there? be smart about botting and you lower your risk. ive made over 800k and lvled 19 toons to 100.

probably doesnt have good knowledge of the class and made this obvious in guildchat/vent etc. and so any players in the guild that are experienced with the class would recognise the numbers didnt match the skill/knowledge level. blaming your lack of skill on the bot because it makes you play too good for your skill level is just silly!

Well said. The only time I got banned was in the ban wave when the tripwire failed in December.

same mate, the only times i got caught was during the "big" ban waves, i was unfortunately leveling my paladin dreinei during that time, came back and found my account banned...
