How dangerous is it just to level alts right now?

i bought a second license during winter after the second ban wave, i figure id use it while i wait for my main to get unbanned sometime in june


any advice is appreciated
 
Question not is about how dangerous is lvl/farm because never was, question is whether blizz still can detect honorbuddy. Only blizz knows this and I'll get a response sooner or later.

stop making stupid comments, just because there was a banwave doesn't mean you throw out all the knowledge gained over the previous years about how to bot safely. very childish mentality that is
 
My knowledge this is 6/7 years of botting in this game and this is my only job. Please stop confirm stupid theories.
 
4 accounts filled up on 3 different realms on all of them, this since desember 2015 ban wave. Used RAF 2 by 2 in dungeons. Geared most of them in the bg bonus week start of feb with bgfarmer.

Gonna let em run out now since I'm bored of wow again, Nostalrius for the win now.

No, he's right. Time IS irrelevant. Your comment is the stupid one.
 
If you bot, you will get banned. Bot for 20 minutes, bot for 24 hours, it doesn't matter. Since Blizzard got into the gold selling business, they stepped up their game. Do you really think the HB team can compete with Blizzard if Blizzard really wants to catch bots? Lol. Well guess what, Blizzard really wants to catch bots now. Blizzard sells gold now. The bot is dead. HB team won't admit it. It's their lifes blood. They'll let every account in existence get banned before they admit it. Truth is Blizzard won. They aren't winning. They won. The HB team will deny it until the bitter end, but the truth is botting ended when Blizzard started selling gold. Expect another tripwire soon and another ban wave, followed by another, and another, and another. It doesn't matter how safe you are, they are detecting the software.

*I'm annoyed I got banned even though everyone knows the risk, and that means everyone else will be banned from now on because <insert inane conspiracy theory here>*

HB is fine, I've been using it since december every day and no bans, your job is to bot safely let the experts worry about client side security

We have been receiving a handful amount of ban reports recently. As we suspected on 21 Jan 2016 tripwire event,
accounts online during the event were flagged and they are being banned.

We would like to remind you that the detection that was captured by Tripwire on 21 Jan 2016 was the reason of May
and December banwaves. The same detection method has also flagged online accounts when the last event was raised.
As of 22 Jan 2016, said detection method is no longer a threat for Honorbuddy.

If you have received bans on accounts that were not online on 21 January or accounts that have been created after
that date, those are not caused by software detection.

There is nothing new that would require us to close auth servers and we do not need to do a new release.


From himself I can add after "21 January" I didn't receive any detection ban.

that is really big news wow, it means blizzard no longer have the upper hand over HB and so all the scaremongering is for nothing. we are literally as safe now as we were before the first banwave!!
 
I have never ever ever ever been banned. Been botting since 2012 I think, been on and off. but started again with two fresh accounts because I lost passwords for my old botting accounts. leveling at the moment using kicks.
Been using HB on different accounts. Also on my main account. Using everyhting gatherbuddy/dungeonbuddy/questing/Lazyraider/thirael?!.

I think I am one lucky bastard, but still no bans here.

thanks for the imput guys, ill take your advice on not spending 24/7 in the game, ill limit it to my normal game time so it doesn't seem too suspicious

i also heard closing the battle.net application helps

but if you guys have any other tips ill welcome any advice or words of wisdom!
 
oh and on a side note is it dangerous to use Combat Routines now? i have a paid warlock one just sitting there and i dont know if i should use it(in raids and lfr not pvp, i can do that on my own)
