How bad is the Ban rate for people who just use the Routines?

There is a link to the whole PQR debackle somewhere in this forum that I read earlier this week. More or less a plugin or portion of PQR was using opensource code without protection from warden. It also used an ingame addon to check for updates and so forth. But I guess there was a warden push that looked for the address that the opensource code was using. Resulted in a massive banwave for those using it. Just google PQR Ban and source forge. Numerous threads on it.
As far as the post of the guy who was banned for using combat routines while in BG is also EU. So i guess that fits with one theory.

Yea, that was me, permanent too, but the email said Violation: Exploitation/Abuse of Game Mechanics .... Didn't mention 3rd party software like I've seen on others ban emails.. Does that mean anything different then? Maybe it was simply because I used a routine in a BG? I was just surprised it was instantly a perma ban. I have no idea about the laws regarding privacy/scanning in the UK.
I'm still laughing at all the derps saying warden can scan your computer. No it can't, Warden can't scan outside of it's own process memory, not that it actually can't, it's just not allowed so that makes external hacks undetectable.. It was ruled an invasion of privacy by the courts.

again pqr bans were perma for those who used it in pvp, mostly non perma if used in pve. half my guild was using it, none of the 40 or so ppl got perma except 1 guy doing arenas.
Cassiopa was using hb in bg, probably with some interrupts or super duper bot reflexes. after some time reports pile up and they will check you eventually i guess.
ofc this is all speculation and im pretty sure blizzard can and does scan memory and all else, they dont have to admit it, they can delete all our accounts without giving any reason.

As some have pointed out, Blizz has a fairly extensive ToS. However, in many countries what they wish for you to agree to is invalid. In the same way that parts of agreements between banks and customers was thrown out in the UK a number of years back, because the state law takes precedence over private agreements in some cases. Now exactly what that amounts to in anyone's particular country is not for me to say, however what I will say is that if they could scan for HB and did so, the bans would be numbering tens or hundreds of thousands not occasional cases here and there.
I will never recommend anyone botting with an account they cannot possibly afford to lose, however I believe the chance of being banned to be relatively small in the setting of "combat routine only while present" setting, unless very high profile stuff is going on.

I doubt it that those guys who was banned for routines were hitted by warden memory scans. They are 99% were using insta interupts (thats almost never possible to fake and easy to detect bot this way) or super duper insta reflections (such as warrior reflect for mage sheep, rogues cloak of shadows for something else (instant), druid shapeshift before mage sheep on random bg).
All this things are sketchy as fk, so make sure to config your interupts or even better turn them off, and try to interupt by yourself. Turn off instant reflections mentioned above, or config them to look less sketchy. If you will see that druid shapeshifting or warrior using reflect to your spells, and the warrior/druid is not even near you, what will you think?

I absolutely agree with what you're saying here. I always interrupted myself, but I believe that interrupts can be configured anyway to have them at a certain MS or whatever, so not super duper instant before the cast bar comes up type. But the cloak of shadows thing? Hmm, I didn't think of shit like that.. Quick question, and I don't want to feel like I'm hijacking this mans thread - Is it worth arguing my perma ban? And would my ban have come from player reports? I guess it would have?
Im watching streams of pro players alot, and most of them always see when their opponent botting (most likely): for example when warriors super accurate refflecting all things everytime it is possible for him, trying to fake such things is impossible due to bot insta reaction. Also when its impossible to fake person (ofc there is people with super reaction, but mostly its impossible to kick so accurate every spell). Such pro players also mentioned that rogue Cloak of Shadows sometimes can be used to ignore some cd's (i dont know actually which one, im not playing rogue) and ofcourse when you facing rogue which kicking perfectly, cloacking perfectly, and most likely never fails his rotation - the report button presses itself 
Alot of pro players sometimes faling, the human factor itself.
About ban arguing - its always worth a try. You can mention that you are high rated player in past with awesome reactions, or better write your own story. But, if GM banned you not only cause of players reports but also watch you playing after such reports - i guess its most likely impossible to be unbanned.

And one more thing btw, if you want to play on such high level with rotations and you have no idea how it is lookalike for a legit player, you basicly need to watch such gameplay to bring yourself understanding of high-end arena. The best solution is twitch livestreams.
