Honorbuddy Update Status for Patch 5.3

was stationed in turkey for a little while. I atleast know how that ? sounds....like ch. that's all i know about turkey..and the al mighty great Ataturk.

so if 0.1 = 1 day, 99.9 would be 999 days, which is.. 2.73 years.
1 days downtime every 2.73 years is a big ask.
does wow give us that?

the wow game itself with weekly downtime, patches and new expansions has, at the least, a 1 day a month downtime
add to this the server downtime through faults and internet outages and the failure of machines from blizzards servers through to our isp's routers and we have something like a 48 hour loss per month (720 hours) which is a 6.6% loss, or 93% uptime.

whereas honorbuddy's uptime is likely to be 99.9% against the AVAILABLE uptime of wow.

someone check my maths cos im old, but its gotta be in the ballpark.

HUMMM you seem to for get how long it was down for MOP if you really think 1 day in 2.73 years.

He was talking about a hypothetical situation in which they would have to abide by a 99.9% uptime, he's not saying that's actually how it is.
 
I still don't get why it doesn't work to at least use Tyrael with PureRotation or w/e. Update notes says something about BGBuddy. The bot just doesn't attach.
 
Hello People. Sorry, i had been trying to find awnsers but this whole topic got out of hand somehow. How is it going? Any possibility that it will run today? What will Happend to me who bought HB time yesterday?

There's a significant amount of change that goes on behind the scenes that you don't know about. It doesn't work with anything because:

A) The memory map for WoW changed and the devs had to address that (happens quickly)
B) There needs to be extensive testing to make sure users don't get banned (takes the bulk of the time)
 
Just questing/tyrael would do nicely for me - my warriors at 89 (annoyingly) haha.

Sitting waiting patiently for release :) - moaning about it wont help, or make the process any quicker, so why bother haha

While I do not care about HB's downtime and it is expected during patch. Just to educate you a little bit on SLA (service level agreement). In my field (networking) a SLA is taken pretty seriously and companies have very specific data to track downtime and backup their boasted 99.xx% uptime. A 99.9% uptime is equivalent to 8 hours 45 mins of downtime per year. This takes quite a bit of effort to achieve and it is frowned upon when companies just arbitrarily throw out uptime percentages without data.

99% uptime is equivalent to 3 days 15 hours of downtime per year which is probably around where HB is at. While 99% is pretty good for this type of service, a 99.9% is pretty much impossible since HB relies on outside (wow) factors for their "uptime".

Again I personally don't mind what HB says, I know it is a quality service for what we are paying for.

look at the first post in the thread, its not that hard. people posting in THIS thread makes sure it stays in the recently bumped threads list. so people can find it easier.

Status Update as of 15:47 UTC 22.05.2013

We are still working on the reversing. Technially, some patterns are used to easily find offsets in every patch. This patch since they moved bunch of stuff and added new functions thus making most of the patterns obsolete. We are creating new patterns manually. Meanwhile, Eots has been remeshed and uploaded.

We won't be able to do a stable release today for sure. Maybe we can do a beta release late tonight for a public test.

the up time is for Auth Servers. right now if you HAD a version of wow that could be used with the current version of honorbuddy you would be able to login using the auth server. the auth servers never go down. just because there's not a bot to take advantage of the latest version of wow, does not mean the auth servers are down.
