So I have been using honorbuddy for a while now and today I opened google to do a search, the first words I types were "How to" and 3 suggestions came up.

(In order)
1. How to purchase honorbuddy
2. How to tie a tie
3. How to take a screenshot

Thought I would share this. I delete all temp internet files, cookies, search history, etc. everyday. Plus I have only had the internet here for 2 weeks so new IP so I know its not suggestions base of my search history.

google adjusts those field to what your search-terms in general are.

google knows you.

pretty easy to fingerprint you. even if you delete cookies and change ip etc. You can find out more about fingerprinting here: https://panopticlick.eff.org (if the link isn't allowed, please remove)

Well, with google. It caches what you search and things you look at online.

I.E. If you notice the ads powered by google are usually all related to what you search the most.....if you search for a lot of computer parts...ads will usually be tigerdirect, newegg and places like that.

The same thing goes for how search functions.

Damn so Google knows i have been looking up Tranny Porn ? Gdammet its a conspiracy !

How come when i type in Google "Huge gapping" it automaticly inserts Vagina?

^This^ is exactly right!

The amount by which average people are being tracked by not only corporations but also governments is deeply disturbing. Randomstraw's link shows how easy it is to uniquely identify you, even if you provide a web site with no explicit information whatsoever.

There is no perfect solution, but using Startpage.com (or an alternative, in place of Google/Bing), check out HTTPS Everywhere, and maybe give a look at the Epic Browser are certainly a good start to impeding the watchers.

It doesn't matter if you've got "nothing to hide"--it's just none of their bloody business!

cheers,
