Honorbuddy on Linux ?

Miikalsen, I repair pc's for a living cleaning a graphics card is very easy but you need to be very careful.

Remove the card from the pc, normally 1 screw, there will be a release button down next to the motherboard on the left hand side of the card at the front press that and with your other hand lift the card. making sure not to touch the electronics.

from here, on your card u will see small screws near the fan, unscrew these normally 4 of them. remove the cover. now use a hoover or a brush to remove the dust.
be very careful when doing this not to damage the fan. using compressed air will not work, it just pushes it into the corners which then will roll up and block the fan completely stopping the fan which in turn will blow up the card.

Nice necro r0sc0!

Well.. For your information Linux is not as heavy as Windows. So it takes a much longer time for it to get overheating.. -.-

That is a completely uneducated response. You are making an untrue generalization that isn't supported by fact. Overheating is clearly a hardware problem that needs to be resolved. Putting a different OS on broken hardware gets you a different OS on broken hardware, not a solution.

@nytegeek: Digging out dead threads from 11.06.2012, 17:49 makes no sense too or? :D
