HonorBuddy crashes in windows 8.1

Crashes on start:

Having exactly the same issue as Ekko also windows 8.1... pop up looks the same as well. Log file will not be any help because it never connects to generate anything. I saw in a similar post to try deleting the settings folder and I tried a fresh install as well, neither of them solved the issue.

Helps to run WoW/HB as administrator. Right-click -> properties -> compatibility.
 
i have the same issue i just got my desktop set up and i was like why get win 7 ill get the new one 8.1 yet sadly to find out the bot isnt working on it :< even on test mode would some pls say how to fix it
 
Hi all i have running windows 8.1 and hb works perfect what version are you using i have 8.1 pro before enterprice and i had it on that one
launcher crashed Always.

Hi all i hade the same problem in the past i start using starting the bot just trough honnerbuddy.exe np then just tryed it works like a charm :)

hope it helps you too
 
i hope so..... today it worked after using the buddy dependency installer, but after a restart it doesn't work....

after the last windows update some directeries had a change to there read wrte prtection since my last hot fix tonight i could change or updates my addon's or HB scripts (have some from my own my i publisg them after the warden magicly disapears). After a long look there was a problem with the read / right right of wow and HB.
after that worked like a charm. just tested it on a old account i dont mind too lose my main account.. bud keep in mind that they ar watching. so becarefull like the magic wurds in the official statment says. I'am not a helper here just giving you my personal information have a lot of expirance with this windows and running hacks the solution is mostley something small bud HB wont start at all ? or wow crashes it think the moderators would love a log or something hope i dont meddele in the moderators work. becouse they know there produckt wel and for longer time then me :)
