Honorbuddy Bans Statement

They only temporarily suspended the accounts because it was a random ban wave and aren't completely sure whether the people they banned were botting or not.

New expansion in November? So are they doing expansions every year now instead of every second year?
 
I wish that Blizzard had detected bots as they were created, or just had a better system of detecting these things. Rather than letting everyone get used to using bots, and then all of a sudden banning halve the WoW community.
We wouldn't feel the need to bot in the first place if no one else bots.

If you just bot because everyone bots, you bot out of the wrong reasons.

You need to bot, even if it just you. There are so many boring parts in the game that a bot can do.

I want to play with my guildmates, have fun with them etc..
 
thanks bossland you made "playing" wow fun until now ;)

iam not even sure if i would play 2-3 of my 7 chars even if the bans get lifted, it might be becaused iam used to farm everything without getting braindead and wasting many hours every day but even if it would just be raiding i doubt that i would enjoy it.

since i guess you will share some further information as soon as you got some, some people might find it helpful for getting an excuse since they know for what part they get the ban -> you can appeal better ;)

I feel like that would be pretty hard to play off, they'd pretty much have to plug their ears and chant, "Correlation does not imply causation!"

Unrelated, but the bans came a day for my subscription renewed. So at least I've got that going for me, which is nice.

The ban aside, arent any of you pissed that you arent presented with any hard evidence?

I mean, isnt it a bit like someone saying ""Hey, you're going to jail for 6 months. We think you did something illegal, but im not going to specify exactly what it was or present you any evidence. You're very welcome to appeal."?
 
I just started back up a week ago! Pretty bad timing, haha. Then again, if HB had been offline, I wouldn't have even come back...

if you live in EU you can request all information logged by blizzard on you. EU data protective act or something. Hopefully someone gets this info and shares it.

They pretty much give themselves 100% control over when they can deactivate accounts at any time in their TOS. This has nothing to do with "innocent until proven guilty". In this scenario, Blizzard is God and if they weren't 99% sure you were a bot, they wouldn't have banned you.
 
Just want to say thank you to the HB staff for everything you guys have done. I know you've collectively put thousands of hours into this bot, and you made WoW fun at times when there was no other way it would be fun. You guys are awesome, and I wish you all the best of luck in your future endeavors, whether or not Honorbuddy ends up being one of them. :)

Of course im unhappy about being caught, but I knew the risks going in. Its my sense of justice which has taken a hit. It annoys the hell out of me that I cant "face" the charges.

They charge your card all you have to do is call your credit company and tell them that you wanted the service canceled and they refused and they charged you anyway. -- They will do a chargeback and take the money back and put it back on your card. **You can only do this once or twice legitimately in a years time.
 
funny how my friend got banned few months ago because of botting 10-12 hours a day and got reported by a player and got a 3 day ban, and now the same case for most of us and we got a 6 month ban...if i knew this i would told someone to report me...
