[Official] Honorbuddy and Arena

Except I am 100% correct.

Blizzard turned a blind eye to botting for many years since it was mainly used for leveling which was not hurting anyone.

In the few months leading up to the ban wave, botting in arena and raids became extremely popular.

Blizzard decided to start banning people for it, and were able to detect honorbuddy itself very easily.

Botting is incredibly easy to detect. Insanely easy to detect. I could write a script to detect players using honorbuddy and it would be 99% accurate, and it would take me an afternoon.

You guys can say whatever you want, but it doesn't change the fact that you are wrong.

It isn't a question of if, but when you will be banned. Bots will flood arena, Blizzard will do a banwave every month until you are too broke to afford a new copy of the game.

I agree. Re enabling arena to me is bad news. I'm sure it's due to PVP enabling plugin that tricks HB and some money losses. I'm sure fighting against this plugin is not so hard (as well as to protect the bot against cr@cks), but buddyteam chooses the easy way (and brakes their own promise to leave arenas) :(

Regarding the bans, blizz ofc can detect HB easily. They tested 6 month method (and I'm sure the detection as well) on US regions some time before the big banwave. Remember these wierd 6 month bans for CR botters on hardcore accs? I'm pretty sure most of these banned players just purchased new WOD on same bnet and continue playing to heavy addiciton. This all comes to how angry bliz is at you...
 
Feels like we are just pawns in their ongoing Battle with Blizzard.

Removing arenas was a fantastic decision - allowing them again will just draw more attention to HB as "real" players can't play fairly anymore.

Some of you got this all wrong-It is not that arena botting is an automatic ban-The problem is that botting arena raises the bot profile to the point that blizz has no option other then coming down hard on botting. In the short term Bossland might get an increase in sales but in the long term he will lose from users leaving HB due to the xtra scrutiny(bans) that will come from this decision.

What you *meant* to say is that you can't *WIN* an arena match without botting.

I never stated that I use Honorbuddy for arena, I too use it for leveling. But don't call others using a feature of a bot a scumbag when you're using another feature of that same exact bot. Can't be a criminal and look down on other criminals.
 
Darn, I was really starting to enjoy playing arena again without having to worry about this sort of thing. Granted, yes, there were other bots for arena; nothing as large in numbers as HB though.

I guess, if I can't beat them...join them :(

you're right bro, someone who steals from Walmart (Blizzard) is has no moral superiority over someone who steals from hard working families (other players)... :rolleyes:

Whatever helps you sleep at night while you're scumming other players out of the achievements they worked so hard for

but wheteher you steal from walmart or a family youre still going to jail if you get caught.

thats like me saying its ok if you murder someone by stabbing them in the neck but stabbing them in penis is not ok

in the end botting is botting and c heating is c heating

who the hell cares? this whole bot destroy's competitiveness and achievements earned by actual players vs the one's who botted with HB.. It DOESN'T matter if it's arena or not... and the matter of the fact is that your on this forum too so it makes you no better then anyone.. if your a botter on a game then you are a *****er... its plain and simple and I am perfectly fine with it, not judging you, just saying it doesn't matter who cares.. I have a actual life and work so HB makes it easier for me to work extra hours to support my family and play this game at the same time with all the up to date gear.

except one way screws over your fellow player and one does not

why don't you actually get good at arena?
