Hi, im just wondering if there is ever going to be a honorbuddy available for the 64bit client and maybe with all the downtime atm if it was possible to work on it, im not guru with programming so i have no idea how many hours or if its even possible to do , ive recently upgrade to windows 7 64bit and im gonna miss botting , if there isnt a 64 bit client coming out can i make a 32bit install on my pc and use that just for my bots . any insight or help would be greatly appreciated. thumbs up for all the hardwork your doing with the bot, patches profiles, its been offline for a week maybe more but at least we know we will get a safe working bot at the end and the market is dead as door nails atm anyway :D

i dont care for 64bit.. i wish that they just update for DX11.. it seems my game runs much much smoother in Dx11 than in dx9

no 64 no dx11 bot please. there are stil a lot of people with old pcs. 32 bit dx9 works for everybody. maybe not full performance, but it works for everybody. 64/dx11 wont work for everybody.

i might be jumping the gun, and i might be wrong, but if we can make it happen DX11 support is coming, but chances are it wont be till later.

64bit support wont happen because its not feasible to have basically make another bot that only supports 64bit. if you hate waiting this week for the bot to come up, then imagine that if we did make a new build for 64bit, that it would take us 2 weeks. (yea thats why its not happening)

You can run HB on a 64 bit machine, it just runs as an x86. I have Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit and it runs fine for me, just not in 64 bit.

not that i am complaining (im not making another request nor begging) but the difference for me from x32 to x64 is huge, wow is allowed to use more memory and screens loads faster.

@ Botanist - I think everyone knows x86 is supported on x64

and hearing abut the dx11 support is AWESOME!, i use a x64 operating sistem and in dx9 i get like 3~5 fps and constant breaks when there is more than 5 players on pvp while in dx11 i get a smooth 60fps on the bosses @ AV and Isle of Conquest with 20-30 players, just sayin'

thats bullshit, soz....

but it is....

theres no way dx9 and dx11 will make such a difference.

your pc is lacking somewhere else.

im not bulshiting you sir, the difference may be that i only use dx9 with honoruddy while i use dx11 to play by myself
You should check some battle.net forum posts, im not the only one saying this

It does the same dramatic improvement for me Webhond, too. No BS (using 64 bit and DX11)

I could happily wait two weeks for an update for an x64 Client

the reason your dx11 performs better is cause your not using the bot then.

the bot only works in dx9 and therefor stresses your pc also since it 1. attaches to wow and 2, uses your resources aswell.

with bot on im 43 fps in sw, vsync on so capped at 60. Without the bot im 60 fps. vsync on. Im running Quadcore with 8 gb of mem and 1 gb graca.

it also can be the cc you are using that bottlenecks your pc somewhere.

you can try to set wow to a lower prio ( not lowest ) and the bot to a higher prio ( not highest ) in your

process menu. This worked for me in the past on some rogue cc. Maybe it will work for you 2.

There is no reason for anyone to complain about a DX11 compatible bot, those complaining dont understand what DX is

DX is an API designed to make use of whatever hardware you have available, so if your card only has DX9 features and you run a DX11 bot on it then it will use all the features your card has

But if you run DX9 on a DX11 card, it will not make any use of the DX10 and DX11 features of the card which means things that could be taken care of by the card end up being handled by the CPU

In short, there would be no downside for people who have dx9 cards but possibly a huge improvement for people who have dx11 cards

No, there will not be a 64bit Client, however, even though you have a 64bit system the 32bit Client will still run just fine on it, you just need to set your WoW Clent to use 32bit and DX9 which can be done in the WoW Launcher Game Preferences. So be assured that once it is up and CC's have been updated accordingly, you will still be able to bot on.

I am sure it will happen someday or another. It will have to since Microsoft no longer puts out a 32 bit system. Forcing everyone to upgrade which IMO is a great idea.

Cheers for the info,

Im not concerned about the bot slowing things down thats fine. Im just saying the performance increase in wow (when playing legit in both cases) is spectacular with 64 bit and dx11 enabled compared with 32bit and dx9. Average of 30fps increase in all areas with improved graphic settings : ).

Sorry if I misunderstood the earlier argument

Apparently a lot of folks have less than 4G of RAM. Again, the issue is why the HB developers won't do 64Bit. My argument is that they will be forced to eventually. Running something in compatibility mode degrades performance. You are basically emulating a 32bit system at that point by running WOW64. (Not talking about World of Warcraft 64, but WOW64 within Windows which emulates a 32Bit infrastructure.)
