No, it won't. You will have to start the bot there.

Will it pick them up, go to the areas to complete the quests or just pick them up and grind mobs as the grinding profiles are already set to? Some quests are like "Deliver 'blah' to 'NPC' in Booty Bay." .. I'm just curious if it'll walk your character out to Booty Bay to turn in the quests and then return to grind on mobs.

Secondly, does anybody know if the quest function starts at level 1 quests and works upward to the level of your character or does it strictly follow a profile you load into it and stick to that area? For instance, if I load up an STV profile does it stick to doing quests only in STV?



Hopefully none of these questions are dumb or a waste of your time to read them. =] Searched forums quite a bit and couldn't find any solid information to answer 'em.

You can do this, but it requires you to go and change the settings of the bot in the .xml file manually (we have not yet made a GUI for them).
 
Uuu can someBody tell me if it comes in 2 hours 3 hours or 4 or tonight or tomorrow?

It acts quite intelligently. It weighs the objectives to find the best one to complete. Basically it means it will do closest objectives before doing objectives that are farther away. Turn-ins are weighed the same way. Eventually, once the Booty Bay talk-to objective is the closest one, it will go do it. If you do not want to do a quest like that, add it to the quest blacklist.

Sounds great so far. So from what I'm reading we'll just have to add a min and max level requirement on the quests for it to pick up and complete right? So if I've got a level 50 and don't want it doing quests below level 48 then I can set min level to 48? Guess I should just wait and see how it all works, thanks tho =]

Almost. The field is relative to your character level, so MinQuestLevel 3 would mean it would not pick up quests that were less than your level - 3.

If a quest is left unfinished and passes out of the field does it get removed?

Ah alright great, that simplifies things quite a bit then. Sounds pretty easy to use like you would just run your regular 1-60 grinding profile and load up the MinQuestLevel 3 and let it run. Should do the rest by itself eh? Sounds too easy but if that's the way its designed to work I'll be quite impressed =]

I agree with fiend534 that the minquestlevel sounds like it will make things super simple. Cant wait for the release today :)
 
Don't hawker and Bossland live in Germany ? That's only a short flight away. If it's not released today I shall fly over and poo in Hawker's garden.
 
I have a question, can the bot really complete all quests available in the game?

I mean some are a bit complex, using veichles, flying in the air and not just killing monsters like the pre-bc ones are.

In Hellfire for instance you have to walk a Hellboar and kill mobs, then wait for him to take a dump then loot it and repeat. Or when you "leave your body" and just watch a spirit fly around Roleplaying, the bot will flip out when you start flying etc right?

My questions is: What quests can the bot do and not do?
 
so.... with this questing.. will it then be able to make a route for the bot which quests it should pick? like first i want it to do this quest; then this and so on? or is it just grind and then pickup any quests on the bots way? and what about deleting quests? would be sad if you're bot was wasting time on grey quests

The bot cannot fly or use vehicles atm, it is a first beta only and it is limited on its functions. It cannot do Phasing either, or where it has to use an object on something. Thats just the way it is until they add in more features.

The bot will pick up any and all quests in the area that you start it. The profiles just tell it which quests NOT to do and tells it where the vendors are. You can also change the level of the quests that it picks up.
 
Not trying to push here, would just like to know when RaF is expected to be tested - currently still running 1.333 (3 accounts in raf) with the occasional questing run with HB2, but would love to get questing going with raf.

Cheers devs for an awesome beta program so far.

This schedule is so old now that even I'm not sure what the release dates are going to be. There's still a lot of testing and fixing going on (as you're aware).
 
Which "Paid Plugins" are we talking about? GB included on HB? More?
