So you are saying that customers should do their job? I do realise that community effort is highly desirable but a stable release is the company's responsibility.
Sometimes when I read these forums it seems like it's a free open-source project, but it's not. There's a company that sells a product. And if that product is worse than previous versions, the company did a lousy job.

Nice way to treat their paying customers.
Unfortunately there is a bug in the stuck detector that causes it to fail to strafe and reverse. We are testing a fix now.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Clearly we overreacted to the bans due to getting stuck and pushed the release out too fast.

in the log it states:
you take 600 damage from standing in lava
