Honorbuddy 2.0.0.4354 Missing GAC_SMIL

Hello.

I am having some trouble setting up honorbuddy, I really do want this to work but when I load honorbuddy and login I get the following:

This is a classic symptom of not running the installer as administrator.
First, we need to shut down any installer that is running silently in background. Bring up your Task Manager, and such for any possible running installer process and kill it.
Second, RIGHT-click on the installer, and select "Run as admininstrator...".

Most .NET 3.5 SP1 issues can be solved by reading this Wiki page...

Kick is absolutely right on this. 4.0 cannot be substituted for 3.5 SP1 and have success with Honorbuddy.

and I am running on Windows 7 this means that I cannot run honorbuddy? Does this mean that honorbuddy does not work with Windows 7?

i have win 7 and it runs fine. you may have to go through window's update and click the button for "optional" stuff

My windows updater is just telling me to update to .net 4.0.
kickazz, how did you manage to get 3.5 on your machine? -- mine is saying that i need to turn "windows features on or off" and the checkbox for .net 3.5 tells me there is an error.
 
don't mess with that feature.

update to 4.0, and then after that, restart and it should offer you 3.5. if it doesn't, go back to microsoft and it shouldn't give you errors

think of it as... regular nintendo, super nintendo, and nintendo 64, and gamecube :)

.NET 3.5 SP1 comes pre-installed on Windows 7. You need to turn the feature on.

Enable it by clicking Start --> Control Panel --> Programs --> Turn Windows features on or off. (The option for it should be somewhere near the middle usually)

You may need to restart your PC afterwards.

Your main issue is that the 3.5 SP1 framework isn't enabled, so it can't find some XML Serialization libraries. (They are registered in the GAC)

the problem is that he couldnt turn it on (throws an error) and he couldnt do a new net framework installation(3.5 or 4)

so the final step was to format his hdd

waiting for feedback :)
 
Honor buddy doesent work

hey can someone pls help me, i have bought honorbuddy and it says its missing a file called C:\Users\Acer\AppData\Local\Temp\$$_F926\iuclient.iuc couldnt be find i have tried to redownload it but not working pls answer me to [email protected]
