honor buddy auto minimize

I have been having a problem for a couple months now. As soon as I start Honor Buddy it automatically hides it self. Sometimes I can bring it back up, sometimes I cannot. Is there a setting somewhere I have overlooked that somehow makes it automatically hide itself?
 
If you use ARelog, you could probaly set the window size outside of your viewing window (the way you drag the screen below the taskbar out of sight)

or use WindowHider.
 
Problem has been fixed (for now ) with a complete reinstall. wierd that it would minimize itself and not let me bring it back up
 
that happened on developers tools, I right-click on the icon on the taskbar and click "Minimize" and then "Maximize"... this fixes the problem for me when it's hiding somewhere outside the desktop.
 
I take it back. Problem came right back. Minimized and cannot bring it back up no matter how many times i click on it.
 
I just don't get it. As soon as i log on, before i can even set the it up it minimizes to the notification tab, not even on my task bar and will not let me bring it back up.
 
Odd thing is, it only does it on shared session 1/3 sessions 2 and 3 stay up just fine
 
I had the problem, where it would crash and (I think) the setting of the windows position would be corrupted. What I did was click the icon in the task bar to highlight the program, then press the Windows key + Arrow up, that will maximize the window. Then click the button to make the window smaller. Then it works fine until it crashed again or something, not sure. But that is how I use to fix it. Might be worth trying.
 
happens to me all the time. I have to click the icon a couple times to minimize it then it'll be in your hidden icons page. Just double click it in there and it'll pop up.
 
Well now this seems to work (again for now) we shall see if i can keep it going, thank you so much for the help
 
Mariox that is the problem no matter how many times i click on it, it does not come back up. Craftie that worked fine while it was on my task bar, but as soon as it goes into hidden notifications i cannot bring it back up no matter what i do
 
You can encounter this issue if you work with the same HB installation on multiple computers (i.e with Dropbox).
If you have two screens on a computer and you drop your HB window on the second screen, it's going to save its actual position.
Then you go to the other computer with one screen and you launch HB. It's going to restore the position on the second screen, non-existant in our case.
As a result you won't see the HB window.
 
This should be archived, but to anyone who finds this from a google search as I did, the solution to this is to delete your Honorbuddy/settings/realm/username folder. Sometimes it seems this can store honorbuddy as being in an invalid location, which makes it minimized or invisible, with no way to recover it.

so your fine now?
 
Correct, deleting the settings directory solves the problem (at least for me). If more than once char is affected, you need to do it for each of them.

My personal theory is it seems to happen when HB isn't shutdown properly (which I think happens when HBrelog kills it after wow disconnects).
