Does anyone know a free program i can use to hide my ip when i log into world of warcraft and when i log onto websites? Im 99% sure my account is flagged and want to try and make it look like i got hacked jusrt incase? Please anyone??

Isn't telling them counted as advertisement? If not then hidemyass.com is amazing website ip changer (remove mods if it is) they always have a program but im pretty sure it costs $$$ for it.

If your account is flagged its not by ip address. Not that theres any way to tell that in the first place unless your a blizzard employee. If you search the forum theres like at least 10 posts just by me explaining why changing your ip doesn't really hide you from anything.

I wan to change my ip ebcause i think i got reported and i wanna pretend that my account has been hacked

also i need a free program i can use to hide it on wow

If it was reported and they can track IP, it would be on the IP used when reported. There's no avoiding that now.

i can only try !!!! can someone just help me im gonna do it even if you dont think it will work... anything is better then doing nothing...

They can read the MAC Address off your network card via the client at any time even if you tunnel. Its kinda useless.

They just get the MAC Adress of your Router, or the proxy u use. And Blizz don't ban per IP. Imagine, in a university Network 1 Person is botting and every WoW Client on this IP will be banned oO

How do they get the mac from the router? I though the WoW servers were IPv4 only. (and who uses IPv6 anyway?)

I have to agree with this statement. Blizzard can't ban everyone who uses same IP/MAC adress. Some people shares computer and Blizzard is aware of that.

I would think that they get the mac from the COMPUTER running the client and ban all accounts running on the machine at the time of the offence. Anything else would be a lawsuit waiting to happen....

you can use different vpn`s for different bot stations. 2 different providers in my signature.

Why do the need to get your mac ? have a look in the log folder and be supriesed what WOW knows about your PC...

IPlogging is BS that was it since Glider was around

The ARP protocol is broadcast only and can not leave your current segment. Ethernet also can not leave your current segment. The only person who knows your MAC is the the next person (machine) in line so unless your router is connected DIRECTLY to a Blizzard machine or router they can NOT get your routers MAC. There would be no REASON to have IP if every machine had access to all the different MAC's.... Would be a pain having an ARP cache at about 10GB RAM too.

This is gone with IPv6 where the MAC is in the IP. This is one of the reasons they want to move ppl over to it, full traceability.

The MAC that blizz get is the one they read from your machine... Or they have paid your ISP to sent them a copy of the ARP cache of the machine your router have as default gateway.

Here is a good explanation of how ARP works: http://www.tildefrugal.net/tech/arp.php

That was my point, Blizz would have your MAC and could ban on that, not banning based on IP, as DHCP leases and all that make IP banning totally pointless...

(possibly I have jumped in at wrong point in thread :D)

Yeah, I guess thats why ppl often are getting all the accounts on the same machine banned. I was hoping to do some multiboxing... guess it would be safer to run the bots on one machine and my "mainis" toon on another one. Running a bot and a main on the same machine at the same time seems like a bad idea. :-)
