Hey everyone, I took a few months break from Honorbuddy and WoW and I'm just coming back to check out Honorbuddy and see what the status was because it looks like maybe Blizzard has bumped up their game against botting? I'm interested in getting back in and botting again but I'd like to know first if it is highly detectable now. I used to run the bot ALOT back when MoP first came out and had no issue, has that changed since then?

Thanks

Yup, you will get banned if you come back. Stay away.

Just got banned last night, this is my first post about it, was watching my bot do Isle of Thunder dailies, then got ban hammered. Definitely not safe, and do not listen to anyone that says otherwise.

The bot is as safe as it has been for years. Bans are from "dumb" botters (for lack of a better word). We'll never be able to stop player reports or people watching you. Bot safe, and you'll never have an issue.

In This Thread: It's the bot's fault not mine.

HB is not detectable itself.

I appreciate the reply Apoc, and it has changed my mind about staying away. If I get banned I won't lose any sleep over it anyways, not a huge fan of the game itself but I love to cheat the system and this bot was incredible when I was using it. Just have to remove the authenticator from my account that I apparently didn't remove back when I stopped playing and I'll be back in business. Thanks again.

My personal experience with HB since MOP has been mostly AutoAngler and Lazyraider, with a little dailies use. I have left AA running overnight - ie, 6-12 hours unattended, and haven't had any issues.

Since I'm being called a "dumb" botter, since I barely use the bot as it is, and never do it while AFK. I was only using singular and "The MoP comeplete daily experiance" by Brody, and using the Isle of Thunder horde dailies profile for a little less than an hour. What stops blizzard from buying a copy of your bot and simply reverse engineering it? Since I'm "dumb" maybe you could explain how that process would not work to me? Also since I've seen the ban report forum growing faster then most other threads on this forum, I'm glad I'm not the only "dumb" customer the buddy company has.

Uncalled for. Bans happens. It's not a matter of intelligence more than luck. And why you are defending HB, I don't understand. The guy already paid for it. But well, just what we needed... More botters.

No it's obviously called for, I mean what makes more sense then insulting your customers that just got banned?

People that only try the bot for some days still get banned.. I would NOT bot atm, until they fix HB

It still amazes me how you can call people "dumb botters" because they get banned. People that only use lazyraider get banned, friends who tried the bot for some days get banned. Blizzard obviously have something going on and its funny how many keep defending HB still

I don't believe Apoc was calling you 'dumb' per se... as in, he wasn't saying you were personally stupid. He was referring to botting practices that aren't the most intelligent thing to do. And what I mean by that is, say I don't know, botting in a brand new area where the profile is new, and everyone and there brother are doing dailies and working on rep. How many other toons did you see running around while you were running your dailies? How was the pathing, pauses, etc. associated with the profile/bot? Is there even the smallest possibility while botting in a usually well populated area that someone reported you?

- Edit -

After like a 30 second perusal of the ban section, it seems the people getting banned are relatively new to HB and using GB2... or they were using the BG bot. From my own personal observations, the BG bot is one of the quickest ways to get Blizz to slap you down. And with the recent node changes, it seems that using GB2 is also getting people smacked upside the head with the ban hammer. Lazyraider 'bans' are extremely scarce, and there was other botting activity present before the ban, essentially meaning Blizz didn't ban immediately... something they have done for years.

I came back just recently after a year and a half off. In my opinion... HB has made HUGE strides.... It was very easy for me to pick back up.

botting in isle so soon from patch release is just completely stupid. ur asking to get banned. there is soo many ppl there for one. and there are stilll alot of glitches in profiles.
