Hey guys need advice for a botting rig for 10 wows

not worth 350 even in Canadian dollas, and no it wont run 10 wows with bots.

ah okay thanks buddy. Should i just go online on newegg and build one then? I'd like to build a i7 3770k chip with cheap ass case, power, hard drive and whatever i can cut corners on Like a cheap rig? Most craiglist ones have old parts but are asking alot. I see an ad with a i7 930 processor, this one to be specific http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/bnc/sys/5019086989.html
but the i7 might be too old right?

The i7 930s where not a bad CPU at all, they have plenty of grunt, how ever they do use quite a lot more power then the newer 4th or even 5th gen i7s.

With out knowing you budget I can't really recommend anything to you.. The above system with the 930, i wouldn't pay anymore then 250 US for, If you could offer that, and get a decent GPU you might be on the right track.. You really want a nvidia 550+ if your going to run 10 bots, at 15 FPS or higher.

If it was me, i would try to go new with the i7 3770k as you mentioned, go cheap on Case/hdd/ram/GPU* but don't skimp on PSU/CPU and mainboard.. When i say cheap on GPU still get a good chipset.. but you can go a cheap MSY or asus card..

It depends really. What level of performance do you want out of it? You can modify the WoW client settings making the graphics requirement lower (Google).

Take my advise with causation. I'm no expert in this.

For projects like this RAM is your best friend. You will want to get 16gb at minimum running 10 clients is pretty heavy and I'm sure RAM usage will be high so make sure you have enough.

Get an Intel chip (you have mentioned them previously) because WoW loves Intel chips and give better performance. I7 would be the smart choice, if you wanted to save money I'm sure an i7-2700k Second hand would be alright.

Finally a graphics card. Again depending what performance you expect but a second hand card could do fine. A HD7870 or R9 270 would be OK I'm sure.

Another option is to build 2 separate units and run 5 clients on each system. I'm sure this would be easier to do then 1 dedicated system.
But as I say I'm no expert in multi client botting :)

Most likely going to run into ram issues with the NUC... they can support 32gb of ram, but you need 2x16GB sticks.. and they are not cheap :)

I agree with huntersmoon on some things, RAM is going to be KING, for sure, but your CPU is going to be pretty important to.. is power cosumption a issue at all for you ? like it power expensive for where you are ?

i wouldnt do that at this time it would be shit if you buy 10 wows and banned in a couple of days

live in canada, no power isn't an issue for me. I was thinking i'd need only 16gb anyways to run 8 bots or maybe 10?
@mario27 every year , every month theres "not a good time to bot, too late, we missed the boat", no my friend, where theres a will theres a way

Mate the current state of botting is not going to change for a long time, blizzard have a massive bee in their bonnet.. They are not going to stop till boss land gives up, wich I don't think will happen, unless the software becomes unusable because of instant bans.. ( no where near that yet)

I do belive HB will need to come up with a new way to interact with wow, in the near future and it's going to become a huge task.

For now keep your botting account profitable and don't invest to much into one account.. Wow gold prices are on the increase, it's not hard to cover costs of an account now, even more so with a instant 90 with every account you buy..

For now the days of botting on your main account are over.

i find it funny that warlords of draenor is 40% off i bet because of all the botters that gets banned hehe:)

To be honest it's almost like a salt in the wounds. It does seem funny they do a sale after a ban wave but 6.2 is out so could be coincidence.

Sorry that wasn't a "you need 32gb of ram" ..

16gb should be fine for 10 bots..

32gb would be optimal that's all.. I like to allocate 3gb of ram per wow and bot.
