That makes for a nice read. The only issue I have is its tailored for Raid DPS, not PVE.

True, but the basic rotation ab, ab, ab, am is the same. The difference is that most solo mobs are dead after one rotation. I actually find this to be relatively mana efficient, since mb usually procs off of the 3 abs, so the am is free. I drink after every 3-4 mobs, which is fine with me.

I' don't understand your question sorry. Can you give me an example of the situation?

What PanYama means (most likely reading his comment) if it scans for mobs when walking backwards.
Not that while it's backing up it walks into another group of mobs and thus pulls unwanted more mobs.
The brain part being any logic in scanning if it's safe to walk backwards at all.

Before moving, or even casting Frost Nova, it will scan the entire area (40 yards) for all mobs, it will then find the best location to move to with a minium distance of 15 yards from any mob, obviously it will choose the location furtherest away from all mobs. It will then check if the location is in line of sight from your current position, if not it will look for another location. Once it has a "safe location" it will use CTM and immediately cast Frost Nova (cast on the run looks more human). If the mob is not affected by Frost Nova it will simply stop and resume fightning. Once it reaches the location it will continue to nuke the target.

EDIT: If it can't find a safe location using the above method it will simply backup 8 yards.

Also of note, if you are Frost spec it will run to a distance of 20 yards, instead of 15 yards.

This same method of finding a safe location is currently being tested for TRUE mob kiteing; with a hunter and frost mage its possible to kite a mob without getting hit once. Initial tests look very promising, its still buggy as hell but its working.

for some reason its not using frost nova.....let it run 10mins it never used it. i clicked into game during combat , hit FN then clicked out of game...now its using FN when mob is near. Wierd. but its only backing up 5yd ...not turning around running a second then turning back around to nuke (like video shows)

WIll continue to test , as the other CCs for mages dont use Frost nova, even if set in config. I leveled a fire mage bfore to 74 before my first MMOmimic ban..all the mage ever did was ,, Fireball , fireball , frost nova , fireball, maybe one more fireball. I equiped nothing but +sp and hardly ever died or even got hit.

All the text in green is in the upcoming release, not the one you are using now.

If it's sheeping a single mob like that it's due to a bug in HB. Sometimes HB report multiple mobs attacking when there are not. Nothing I can do about it.

It will now (next release) check if you have the Glyph of Water Elemental, if you do, it will attempt to use the Water Elemental as often as possible. Otherwise, when you have adds. But of cause, there are lots of settings and everything is user defineable for this.
