Due to a number of ongoing issues that I, and a number of other CC & Plugin developers have been expierencing over the last few months I am no longer willing to host or support my CCs (and profiles) on the Honorbuddy forums.

Instead, I am relocating my CCs and support to the below forum (kindly provided by Wired).

http://www.liquidskies.net/forum.php?varname=Fpsware

What does this mean?
  1. There will be no negative impact for the users - you.
  2. ALL CC download links will be located on another forum
  3. ALL support (bugs/issues/suggestions/feedback) will be located on another forum.
  4. I will no longer distributed my CCs on this forum
  5. I will no longer support my CCs on this forum.
If you have bugs or issues, if you want to download my CCs this is the link you need to use.

Bugs and such...

Upcoming changes and updates:

  • When pulling, if the target moves out of your maximum range while casting your pull spell, it will no longer move a few yards forward to get back into range. Instead, it will wait a second for the pull spell to land, and if the target is approaching you it will wait for it to come into range.
  • Combat timer added; it will no longer endlessly cast spells on evading mobs.
  • Better Polymorph logic.
  • Better pull logic.
  • Lots of 'smarts' and human-like behaviour.
  • If fighting casters it will cast Dampen Magic before the tartget is pulled
  • Frost Nova. Thanks to Nesox for all the help on this. The character will search for a location up to 15 yards away from all other mobs. If its unable to run to that location it will simply backup a few yards. It will not use Frost Nova if you have a polymorphed mob within 15 yards as not to break sheep.
  • SHEEP PULL - this is experimental and highly buggy. But the idea is it will decided on a pull target, scan the area for likely adds (up to 15 yards) and if suitable mobs exist it will cast Polymorph to pull. This prevents gettings adds off the first (Frostbolt / Fireball) pull.
  • Dealing with sheeped mobs; if you have a polymorphed target and you've just killed your last non-sheep target, it will target the sheep, run to a safe location 15-20 yards away, turn and frostbolt! Hopefully, by the time the target reaches you it will be at least 50% dead. And, if Frost Nova is not on cooldown it should cast FN when the mob is in range and this will almost guarantee the mob will die before it even touches you.
  • Will use alternate spell if a given school of magic is silenced. Eg, if you're Fire spec and Fireball is not available it will use Frostbolt. Arcane Missiles is always the last choice for spells as this can be interrupted easily.
Hestia in action. Frost Nova testing...

Running 20 yards away from all other mobs. Turn and continue nuking our target. We only took 1 hit during this fight.

This has been breifly tested on a level 64 Mage and it worked exceptionally well (for a pre-pre-beta).

Working great on my mage. One thing I'd like to request to be added is side strafing away from a mob instead of backing up when using frost nova. I don't know if its possible to get the bot to side strafe away from the mob backwards (Same direction as backing up would be but while using side strafing). Hope that makes sense. Reason behind this is it just looks more human.

Thanks.

When I play my mage I always backup, or jump back. I never strafe.

New update coming soon. Youtube video attached of combat action.

So, this didn't seem to work all that well with Arcane at 72+, but it does appear to do a better job with general combat than Mephiles. I'd love to get more use out of it for that reason. If there's anything you need to know about arcane procs or if you have a particular spec that you feel works best, let us know so we can get the most out of each other.

Pulling with frostbolt isn't always the best idea in Northrend where more mobs are frost immune than other places... I know not much testing has been done at that level, so that's why I'm posting!

Overall, fantastic work. Keep it up!

nice vid, must admit proper job on that frost nova action looking forward to it, but might be silly question but has it got any brain in running back incase of adds that might be that way?

If you give me a list of Arcane procs and your prefered spell rotation I'll see what I can do.

I' don't understand your question sorry. Can you give me an example of the situation?

If you give me a list of Arcane procs and your prefered spell rotation I'll see what I can do.

The main proc is Missile Barrage, which makes Arcane Missiles faster and free to cast. I'm sure there are far more experienced arcane mages here that could add some more info.

Presence of Mind and Arcane Power should probably be used with Arcane Blast when there are adds, since PoM makes it an instant cast and AP makes everything hit 20% harder for 15 seconds, but they can't be used at the same time. Actually, since PoM lasts until your next spell cast and has a reasonably short (1.4min for me) CD it should probably be used whenever it's up and Missile Barrage isn't.

I typically pull with Arcane Blast in PvE and Slow in PvP. Then I cast Arcane Blast until Missile Barrage procs, at which point I cast Arcane Missiles. Arcane Barrage is an instant cast arcane talent given spell like Fireblast that's good for runners or as a finisher.

Frost Nova is really the only thing I cast during a fight that isn't Arcane.

Again, others may have different (and probably better) ideas.

Thanks again for all your hard work!

I think he wants to know if you check for other mobs in proximity before picking a direction to run in after frost nova...

Also, if it's possible to build in some sort of immunity check that would resolve a lot of issues with some specs being less useful in certain areas. When a mob registers as Immune to whatever the type was of the last spell cast, switch to a different type of spell.

So your main DPS spell is Arcane Blast? My personal spell choice is Arcane Missiles, I don't think I use Arcane Blast at all.

Yeah. Arcane Blast gives a 40% chance to proc Missile Barrage, increases all arcane damage by 18% each cast (stacks 4 times), and hits pretty hard itself.

Yeah, that or Slow.

Basically, if the mob lives long enough, the rotation would be Arcane Blast, Arcane Blast, Arcane Blast, Arcane Missiles or Arcane Barrage if Missile Barrage is up. More than 3 ABs in a row has a heavy mana hit, since each stack of the damage buff increases the spell cost by 175%.

I guess it's not really necessary to stack it that high, but even casting it on pull to get the 18% buff is worth it even without the chance to proc missile barrage.
