[Herbs] Storm Peaks - Herbalist's dream almost complete

great profile, but i die pretty frequently because whenever i get to the 'terrace of the makers' part of the loop, my guy never has enough altitude so he basically runs through all the elites and just dies. any suggestions?
 
stutter steps with any speed enhanc on epic...

Hodir's faction elites?
 
He is NOT talking about the Hordir's faction :) . There is a quest chain in the zone where you have to kill these elites(You are given an item that summons dwarfs to help you so it is rather easy) There are quite a few of them, and they do hit fairly hard, they ARE soloable by certain higher classes, but can be a pain if aggro'd during the herb run.

I used this profile and it worked really well. Since it goes all around the zone, you get A TON of herbs. Good job on this profile. You may have to watch out for the elites though, an edit, that goes AROUND them would be awesome :). I noticed that you do not ALWAYS aggro them though. The problem isn't that there is an herb near by, it is the fact that you end up pathing by them, and may aggro one. As long as you don't get dismounted you will be fine.

If you install the Carbonite addon, you can enable a motion trail on the map. You can set it so that it lasts a long time, and you will end up with a perfect route image that you can screenshot.

I've noticed this is marked for "herbing" but I've noticed a few things after 5 days or so of testing. I gather more herbs significantly quicker when I have mining on (not to mention the titanium and what not as well). I think this is due to the path time vs respawn rate. If it takes the time out to stop off at mine nodes it gives a much more balanced spawn time of herbs in the area. Extra gold from mining plus more herbs over a shorter period of time. I think the deaths are kinda a luck of the draw on the nodes on the mountain side.

In the past 5 days I've noticed that this path is nice, but there have been about 3 nodes to blacklist because of the types of mobs that they aggro. When I get aggro on one of those "harpies" they seen to cause some problems with the bot. The bot will become "stuck" in combat and won't gather, it will follow a mob after it has already evaded and is running away. There is a patch of 3-5 herbs in this area I added to the blacklist because of this happening a lot, losing about 3-4 mins of bugging/doing nothing every loop. Other then that good run.

I've died around 10 times trying to badnode som nodes, but GB wont respond to my badnodes.

Pretty happy with the nice balance between mining and herbing there :) - 15 titanium veins I got kinda lucky with hehe. :rolleyes:

*edit* : It had to do a bag empty run too, which takes quite a bit of time, since I forgot to take out some soulbound stuff in my bags, so this would of been even better.

Pretty much the most accurate thread title, "Herbalist's Dream" too say the least. The highest selling flasks all need lichbloom, this you can get lichbloom in quantities that are unattainable in any other zone. This profile is the bomb. A+

I dont understand why my guy keeps dying. I dont even know what the hodir is. I looked on my reputation chart and I couldnt find it. Can you explain how my guy keeps dieing and how I can stop it
 
how are people posting their results like that? is it an addon or a plugin?

Sons of Hodir are a faction, you should have them on your reputation page somewhere. You need to get it to at least friendly via a quest line starting in K3. Impossible to say why you keep dying except to say you're running into mobs you can't kill to often, probably the Sons of Hodir ones at a guess. watch it and see where it's dying would be my suggestion

In the debug file in the Gatherbuddy folder. Mine opens in my web browser (I assume it's standard) and it logs it after each node. Just scroll to the end to see the total summary. You may have to scroll up slightly from the end.

Using this profile for the past two weeks. Although, it stucks alot on the mountains and getting around 'em takes like 5-10 mins.
