Herbs and Alchemy

If I'm going to do Herb farming with GB does it make sense to get Alchemy on my Alt for better gold? Or can I make more gold by just selling the herbs on the AH?

What about mining and JC or BS? Is it better to just sell the metals or craft them and sell?

blacksmithing youll need chaos orbs to craft any epics, so unless you are going to be handplaying the account, i wouldnt bother. im sure it varies by server, but i make way more money selling the herbs. i dont worry about flasks etc. now this will likely change as they become more common, but for now it works. jc is good to have. jasper and nightstone sell very well since they are needed for dailies, the blues not so much (uncut). atm i cant make any money on cut gems. so i just sell ore until im overstock on obsidium and then ill prospect it down and sell the greens.
