Herb gathering and staying in flight form

Is there anyway to set up GB to ignore attacks while in flight form? I mean I am high enough level where I dont have to worry about any NPC one shotting me and if they can't knock you out of flight form why not just gather and go. I have taken my low 70 druid to Mt Hyjal and gathered cinderbloom. Granted I avoid nodes that have more than one or two NPCs but it is do able.

It would be nice ot be able to choose. It just seems like a waste of time esspecially on low level areas. Gathering for Alts and something 30 levels under you decides to attack, shifting out of flight form into cat, one shot him, shift back into flight form and fly off. On NPCs at my level at least you get some XP for the kill.

this has been asked for about a million times.. it's pretty clear the devs arent gonna do it at this point.
