Hellfire rings

whats your take on hellfire rings. seems like a waste of time to me, basically have to manually farm them, and it would take up way too much time for higher number of bots. and i dont have a main geared out to solo mp10, just gear bots to not die in mp0-1 and farm fast
 
Thats a long sentence.

You should get hellfire rings, its well worth the time spent. Even if you have 5+ bots.
 
I had one bot I got off a friend and was paragon 9, it had a hellfire ring. Made a huge difference in time to 100. But agree wont be worth the hassle farming the parts normally. Not bothered with any other ones.
 
i have read in many places that unless you get a good hellfire ring, it wont make up from the extra speed and damage you get from a normal good ring
 
Some ppl in gereral chat do 5 mil per uber carry. so u don't even need to farm keys.. just buy the machine from them and they will carry u too. That's what i did on all my toons

true, but this puts people on my recently played with list and/or friendslist
 
I am surprised that nobody has come up with a profile for farming the mats for hellfire rings, seems like it would be really useful.

magi has one i think, but the thing is not about if there is a profile, its about doing it efficiently, running a bot like a WD to get a ring on mp5 is just a waste of money on repairing and a lot of time

with the ability to report people for botting in 1.07, i care a lot more about who is on my friends/recent played list
 
ofc it's a waste of time . takes many tries to craft a good one and they are account bound
 
Look in the "other" section of profiles. Its ok, gets a little stuck and cant accurately read the key stack (problem with DB API, not the profile maker)... Otherwise, it WILL find you keys.

There is also a profile that will do the ubers for you assuming you have machines already made.

all that work to get a super crappy ring that slows down farm time. i guess you have to think of the trade off, exp vs loot.
hellfire ring slower farm time - sometimes more exp
dps ring faster farm time - solid exp
 
or get a carry for 4mil on d2jsp - there are key profiles as well
 
or with the gold you would spend on uber carries you buy a ring from ah which is guaranteed to be good and don't waste farming time . smart no ?:rolleyes:
 
If you have a hardon for a Hellfire ring buy a carry then change your battle tag. I'm not 100% but I believe it should clear your recently played and friends list.
 
Great discussion, ive decided its not worth my time, better to just use good rare rings, 4m for an uber ring is a waste when i know its only going to have mainstat, and then other shit rolls. better to use a ar/vit/cc/cd/str (barb in this case) ring
 
any bot without a hellfire ring on merc and on char is a wasted bot

The time it takes to get the ring could be considered slowing. If you 24/7 with a good setup you'll hit paragon 90 in 3 weeks anyhow, probably less really.
