Hearthbuddy stops working when opened

i just reformated my computer and reinstalled the updated version of hearthbuddy. now it wont work for me i've looked on these forums for an answer but i can't find anything or im just stupid.

a friend had a simular issue in the past and had me update a few things and it worked.
