Hi. After one entire year withour playing to Hearthstone, I decided to install it again, I downloaded Battle.net client, then Hearthstone, and finally the last version of Hearthbuddy.

Well, the thing is that when I run Hearthbuddy, it says that it can't be attached to a Hearthstone process because it does not detect a Hearthstone process running... :

I just can't understand why the bot says it can't attach to the Hearthstone process, when obviously the process is running as I shown it in the image above...

What is happening?, maybe Hearthbuddy is discontinued/shutdown?, that is what I read here:

https://www.thebuddyforum.com/threads/and-after-the-shutdown.413730/

Please if someone could give me a solution for this, and confirm me whether the Hearthbuddy shutdown is true or false... Thankyou.

If it helps, I'm running on Windows 10 x64 version 1709 (Fall Creators Update)

Hearthstone and Hearthbuddy both are updated to last version up to today 02/Dec/2017.

I don't have any kind of user permission issues in my user account, more than that I'm using the "hidden" built-in 'Administrator' account and with UAC disabled. Please avoid those typical things.

Oh, and in this last year I moved to a new PC, I mean I'm not using the same PC that I used in the past to run Hearthbuddy, I'm on a new PC. Maybe this issue could be a problem of hardware Ids or something else related to Hearthbuddy licensing security checks?

Thanks for read.

Hi @Tony. Sorry for dramatizing, I didn't remembered Hearthbudyy writes a very useful log.

The log says this:

2017-12-05 10:57:53,318 [1] ERROR Logger (null) - Could not attach to a Hearthstone process. Please make sure an available Hearthstone process is running.

Note this line:
Code:
2017-12-05 10:57:53,314 [1] ERROR Logger (null) - A new file 'G:\PC\Online\Hearthstone\Game\Hearthstone_Data\Plugins\Connect.dll' has been detected in the [Plugins] folder. This is unexpected. Please report this ASAP.

I removed that file, then a new log with the same error but pointing to other file:
Code:
'G:\PC\Online\Hearthstone\Game\Hearthstone_Data\Plugins\PlayErrors32.dll' has been detected in the [Plugins] folder. This is unexpected. Please report this ASAP.

I removed that second file, then now Hearthbuddy ran good. Problem solved.

So... I must assume those files are some kind of fake files like "tricks" of Blizzard to detect bots?. Those files were there by Hearthstone... so I don't know wheter those files are necessary to play the game without expecting an error at some point, or are files that can be removed safely.

Thanks for read.

follow this path
G:\PC\Online\Hearthstone\Game\Hearthstone_Data\Plugins\Connect.dll and delete Connect.dll file
