HB PvP is absolutely terrible for some classes

I have to agree somewhat. Certain classes are horrible to bot with. Others are magic. I'm using ski's warlock cc and I must say my lock dominates in BGs. I've watched him for hours and he just performs tremendously. I'll chalk that up to the fact that Ski just makes good ccs. Now I wish there was a solid DK cc out there :)

Namesearched and ended up here.

That is all.

Go shadow and see what happens w/o squire (Isis Shadow). Mine performs just fine, it runs the flag and everything and usually melts faces.

The devs are working on the pathing issues

Kick, I've tried running Shadow without Squire and it has no problems pathing. But it's still a suicide bot. Pathing is not really the problem. It doesn't get stuck often, and it makes it's way to the hotspots as designed. I'm just wondering if these logic side of things are being looked at?

It runs to towers, flags, etc. that are infested with enemies and gets nuked. If by chance it encounters a solo player, it does pretty well. But it seems to me that there needs to be some logic that tells the bot to 1) Follow groups of players and/or 2) Avoid groups of more than 2 enemy players within x yards. I know there were plugins in the past that helped solve some of these issues but they're no longer being updated. So why aren't they being programmed into the core of the bot to improve usability and help prevent player reports?

To others; I have had success in PvP with some classes (Shaman, Pally and Warrior) but the Priest and Rogue have been abysmal. The hybrid classes are heartier and can take on more enemies at once, but they still just run to the same spots over and over again which is the issue.

...I even tried using the Squire plugin to follow other players. But that's all it would do ... just follow around some random player. It never stealthed, hardly ever targeted anyone or used abilities. ...
Targeting enemy players while Squire is in use is a known issue reported a couple times in the Squire thread. A release with fix will be available within the day. For now use it only for Healbotting in Battlegrounds.

Thanks Bobby. I will test the new version when it's available. It's a nice plugin and definitely a step in the right direction.

have you tried wootz's profiles for pvp?

Yes, I am using those now ... but I think you're missing the point. The profiles are not the problem, the bot runs the set of hotspots in the profile as intended. The issue is that those hotspots are generally occupied by enemy players (or encountered along the way). The bot needs to have some logic to say "if I encounter x number of enemies at a hotspot or during my path, I should avoid them and run to the next hotspot". As it is right now, the bot will run to the hotspot and generally get facerolled. Hence the reason why most people here are also agreeing by stating that it's a suicide bot.

I'm just trying to say there are some improvements that should be made to the bot core logic that wouldn't necessarily require the use of a separate plugin.

oh it simply faceplants. haha thats funny :) can't really help that.

maybe a plugin that scans and if enemies in area > #, move to next hotspot?

That would be nice. Right now, the best solution to the problem is to manually play battlegrounds, perhaps using Nesox's combat bot where you pick the target, and it executes the combat logic.

The reason that works well, is a player is good at picking his fights, much in the way HonorBuddy is not. If there are 5 horde defending a flag and no alliance attacking it, I'm going to slink on by, and check the next base - HonorBuddy will foolishly run up there and give the Horde honor points by sacrificing your avatar. :-D It's like wearing a big 'KICK ME' sign on your back.

Bump for further discussion while they update for the patch.
