My honor buddy has been working very slow and here are some of the problems:

I can't switch characters, it will crash and get errors.
I have to put my KEY in every time it does not save it.
There is no Cache folder even after I reinstall the program.
It is very slow at the moment, when I switch bots, or try and load configurations. Also slow when I stop the bot, and start the bot ( Sometimes crashes the bot and WoW

make sure your anti-virus or some other application isnt blocking access to honorbuddy files. also make sure you are in fact running honorbuddy with administrative privileges.

Okay tried both, still acting slow and still not saving my key have to enter it in every time

Do you really start HB as admin?
Did you check that folder and files in the HB directory are not write protected?

Yes I ran as admin. the Write permission is checked for allow.
When the bot is running it runs fine, JUST loading configs, opening bot settings, and stuff like that is extremely slow and sometimes causes to crash, and won't let me swtich toons have to exit honor buddy.(Which is tedious because I get an error message that when I hit okay it goes back to honor buddy which forces the error message again, so I have to spam click end task to actually get it off) Then I have to go back and get my key and re enter it. )
Now it is saving profiles and stuff like that, how ever it's just not saving the key.

ALSO It asks me EVERY time i start if I want to submit data to help honorbuddy or what ever that prompt is. It use to only ask me when it was a fresh install, but now it is asking me every time.

Hi, Shadowxleaf, and thanks for the log.

[05:57:01.030 N] Error trying to save the settings file: The file exists.

The problem is one of these three things:
  • A permissions problem (which you have ruled out)
  • An interfering program, including virus or Anti-Virus
  • A bad installation.
From the message, it appears that .../Honorbuddy/Settings exists on your system, but it is probably a file or symbolic link or somesuch instead of a directory as is needed.

Let's start by doing a 'clean install' as outlined in this article:

If no joy, then our next step is to look for programs that are interfering with the clean install:

If it still doesn't work, please attach a fresh log from the clean install, so we can see if the failure mode has changed.

cheers,

So I found something related to an old honor buddy and deleted, and a cache folder was created. But it still seems like maybe there is a settings folder that's causing me not able to save?

I've spent the past 2 hours trying to fix it. Basically it looks like what ever file that is used when HB starts up either exists on my computer because it's preventing it from creating one or something like that. Every time it prompts me if I would like to submit (Like a fresh install would) Every time I start HB I have to enter in my HB key(Like a fresh install would) Every time I start HB it loads all profiles longer than normal (Like a fresh isntall would)
So in short, the program ALWAYS acts like a fresh install, and I can't save anything to change what the bot actually outputs.
