Pretty self explanatory. 100 is too great of a value. Changing your pull/loot distance i assume? Try 85.

edit: Please change title of thread to "Stupid Stupid User"

Also instead of posting a picture post the error log.

It's crashing on startup smart guy, you can see right in the pic that there is no log. Try using the forum to be helpful instead of being an asshat thanks.

The window is showing the standard log tab. Troubleshooting requires the debug tab, which I'm sure has a lot more info including the info needed to assist. Follow your own advice.

there is no log

its as i log in its fine ill just delete my settings everytime i use it until the next version comes out :) no biggy

Thanks mizzy for trying to be helpful rather than a complete D*ck head +rep

No you're doing something wrong. That error only pops up when you change a value to greater then "maximum". (why i said self explanatory)

Either you're changing a value or a plugin is. Just the fact that it works after deleting settings means something is changing the default settings.

Next time maybe you should learn how to do some basic problem solving.

no values have been changed no plugins are installed so mr basic problem solver how do you work that out?

It's not my job to solve your problems. Maybe if you weren't such a douche i'd go on teamviewer and try to help.

I will leave you with this: Just the fact that it works when you delete the settings means that SOMETHING is changing the settings. Figure out what that something is and you'll fix your problem. And you'll feel better about yourself for doing something on your own. Instead of asking people to hold your hand. (Which is what you're doing.)

I've also had this happen on HB-2.0.0.4137 when trying to bring up the CC Configuration for ShamWoW 4.3.09. I'm pretty sure the problem isn't caused by ShamWoW.

On a side note, I just *love* the helpfulness of the error message...
"Value should be between 'Minimum' and 'Maximum'". Well, DUH! What is the specific Minimum Value, and Maximum Value. While we're at it, it might help to know what 'Value' we're talking about... Pull Distance? Mount Distance? Loot Radius? The error message is *completely* worthless--it might as well have said "Something's Broken--good luck figuring it out".

Back on topic....
my Value was complaining at 105, and I promise I never fiddled with anything to cause it. My suspicion--which I've yet to prove--is profiles that use SetPullDistance to zero are causing the problems. ('1' is supposedly the minimum value for Pull Distance, but several profiles are using SetPullDistance with an illegal value of zero.) But, I've yet to narrow it down any further.

Sorry this hasn't been more help, but its nothing you are doing (besides maybe your profile selection). Will post back, if it happens again and the problem is isolated.

cheers,
chinajade

Look in your settings file when installing honorbuddy and see what settings are set to 100. Then try changing them.

hmm taking this into consideration it may be linked to kicks winterspring profile but im unsure why this would cause the problem prior to honorbuddy loading

Lol i dont think you are quite sure who i am!

I have been with these forums for about 4 months and have gone out of my way to help others get there honorbuddy working..

Also you call me a douche but you are the one who made the edit note suggesting to change the topic name to stupid stupid user!

On a different note you could of quite easily made a simple suggestion rather than being an asshole about. :)

This is a most excellent datapoint!
Kick's Winterspring profile is the one that's giving me this problem also--I'm running the 'C' version when it happens.

There are several:
<CustomBehavior File="SetPullDistance" Distance="0" />
that I've changed to:
<CustomBehavior File="SetPullDistance" Distance="1" />

Hopefully, we can get him to switch to UserSettings CB if he updates it. UserSettings prevents mistakes like this. :D

The problem has yet to repeat, so far, but still testing.

chinajade

I am also using the c profile so its definetly linked into that ill try giving mine a change now and ill leave him a message regarding

I honestly don't care who you are. Why would i?

If it was kick's profile there would be 100s of people complaining about it.
I said change the title because you automatically assumed it was HBs fault. (Which is isn't) And by calling it stupid you insult the developers and all the people who actually know how to use it.

Next time you need help with something don't insult the people who develop the product. (Seems like common sense to me.)

edit: And if it is a profile error then it's just that: a PROFILE error. Not HB.

Please get off my thread and find someone else to bug All of the devs and mods on this forums know i appreciate the work i do because with every profile i use and every plugin i thank the devs for thier great work and ask them if there is anyway i can help give me a shout.

@Chinjade

It was definetly related to kicks winterspring profile im not sure why its only affecting a select few people but changing the <CustomBehavior File="SetPullDistance" Distance="0" /> in the profile has solved my problem. :) thanks for the help

If it is Pull Distance, then it is HBcore's fault. A program should *never* allow a property to be set to an invalid value--either through the GUI or API. To allow such is just plain sloppy programming (at several layers, but the buck stops with HBcore).

Kick's Wintersaber profile is only a couple of months old, and most others are interested a *lot* of other stuff besides Wintersaber Rep. So, its also completely understandable why this error has yet to be encountered. It could also be tied to the class that is running the profile, or other such things.

In any case, it boils down to sloppy programming at several layers (Profile, CB, HBcore). The buck stops at the HBcore.

cheers,
chinajade
