Yep, the title says it all I think. Is it possible to run HB / GB under ANY virtual machine? I heared that the VMs now support directx so they should be able to run WoW - if yes, wich one would that be?

I can't see why it wouldn't be possible. VMware is probably the best.

I think I read somewhere that it doesn't work for whatever reason. I am unable to find the thread though.
Would be awesome if someone who tested it can give me a reply to this.

It works fine. I had 8 copies of wow running inside VMWare each on a different vpn. Also works in bootcamp and VMFusion.

Sounds good, wich VMWare would you recommend? I've got a VMWare workstation and VMWare Player here..
Fusion is not an option since I don't use a MAC ;)

Definately workstation. Make sure your machine can handle it tho. It uses a considerable amount of the processor to run windows in a VM.

Machine power is not a problem, got a rock solid 3 month old high end system..

So this is me after a couple of hours for the setup..
The CPU usage is exorbitant though ;)

Yeah its going to be higher in a VM. Look at it this way. Your VM, is allocating processor power from your Main OS to your VM, so just for example, say you have 1ghz as a nice round number. Your VM is using 50% of it. Which is 500mhz. Your VM allocates 100% of that 500mhz from your main OS immediately. So your OS is registering 50% utilization.
