HB crash at startup

that's the whole log:

[11:08:32.045 N] Honorbuddy v2.5.14460.802 started.
[11:08:32.179 N] Logging in...

then just crashes.
Was working fine yesterday, broken on all pc's now.
 
That's the whole log, there's nothing else, a reply from a human instead a robot perhaps?
 
if you need a break on our forums you can just ask for it
 
next time post your log file as attachment as required,chit chat about how we would like the log file uploaded is not welcome


try a different region
 
make sure you are using google dns

also restore your windows hosts file
 
Can't do that, not gonna put huge red flag on my customer's accounts with public IP.
If it's region problem then it has to be fixed to work properly on your end.

I'm open for other suggestions tho.

Any idea on when it will be fixed to work properly with regions then?
because I'm sure as hell not the only one having this problems and suggestion big number of users to go on public IP is gonna get most of them banned...
 
That's aftermath after having few thousands accounts leveled, it's an obvious safety hazard - vpn's gets you banned faster than anything else, every single mod and admin on OC will tell you the same.

Furthermore it's definitely not my personal issue that I'm not being able to use product I paid for.

I find that very hard that to believe, surely it would be possible to just let my key's authenticate manually, so that's simply a lie.

It's just the easiest way for you, especially as a forum support who probably have no clearance to do that, but I'm sure it can be done.

And as I said - I'm not able to use DNS, and I need my product working.

P.S.
This is by far the worst customer support I ever had to deal with... as much flexibility and willingness to fix the problem as a dry stick...

I really don't want to be here complaining, I just want the product I paid for working, without doing any things that I was not told I will have to do before purchasing it. If I was told I will have to use DNS beforehand I would simply not purchase all the keys and HB store products over the years.

when asking for support you have to follow some general directions/suggestions

we just asked you to use google dns,not to square the circle :)
 
And I told you politely that I'm not able to do that, and also that I was not told I would have to do it before purchasing the product :)

DNS is not a solution to the problem, it's just a patch, and a patch full of germs in my case which I'm not willing to use.

Please contact your peers about this problem, since you are obviously not able to help me, and let my keys authenticate properly without doing something I did not agreed and was not told I will have to do before purchase :)
 
I am having exactly the same issue. I also have the same stance as the OP here. I completely agree with umshakalaka on this.

This issue is affecting way too many people to be a fault of the user. If your operating procedures/requirements have changed, say so and provide clear instruction that will fix the problem for everyone. So far, there are multiple forums with the same problem but different approaches to 'maybe' fix it. If you're not sure what the problem is yet, admit to that. Continuing to downplay the widespread issue is not helping and redirecting blame to the users is making it worse.

The solutions being provided and handling of this issue on the forums--for a paid product mind you--is substandard and disappointing.

Please clean this mess up and get control of the problem, or at the very least, the forums. Even if this post is deleted or my accnt banned, at least the person who needs to read it will get the message.

Hoping for the best here...
