Some days ago, Singular died :)
My log for a balance druid, using kicks scripts, just installed hb Honorbuddy 2.5.8179.697 freshView attachment 12756 2013-10-04 11.42.txt, downloaded kick fresh via svn, my log included

quest recognized (kill & loot some wolves), toon faces mob, walks to him
1.st problem: ignores the pull distance, kick set to 25, talented plugin set to balance druid
2.nd prob: sometimes walks to where the mob stands, but we aggro this mob, so mob comes half way in my direction. toons does not realize this, still walks to the position, mob stood before, then stops. stands in wrong direction an mob hits from back..

I will have to do it in general terms: each time the toon displayed the behavior I was talking about, I logmarked the file. That is, each time it left a fight before the mob was dead. Very often, maybe not in this log, the toon ends up fighting 4 or more mobs, all almost dead. The pet, when it cannot finish a mob quickly, also jumps to the next mob that is attacking the toon. So, it is really no normal process of dying, but the result of a malfunction in the routines which has appeared with the new patch.
I also noticed that it will only do that if it trying to finish another quest first.. It seems to consider the mobs it is fighting as a distraction that must be ignored as soon as possible. So say it must gather quest items or free npc's, that is then what it will try to do, leaving the fight too soon.
odarn, I greatly appreciate your efforts in trying to describe this, however what is needed are specifics. That is the purpose of the steps associated with creating LOGMARKS and attaching a log with debug info. The behavior of the Pet to act as a Tank is intentional. Singular will purposefully watch if the Pet has aggro on its current target and if so, will switch to a target attacking the player to pull the target off that player if possible. If you prefer the Pet to stay on the players current target and ignore agro, click Class Config and change the setting for "Solo: Pet will Tanks Adds" on the Genereal tab. In general your survivability is increased by using the Pet as a tank, but the option to handle differently is available to you. As for moving on to the next quest objective while in combat, that is determined by one or more of the following: Questing botbase, Questing profile, Quest Behavior, or a Plugin. The Combat Routine has nothing to do with deciding when to move to the next quest objective, etc. so that isn't a Singular issue. Thanks for the post and good luck with your toon, Bobby53

windl, Thank you for the debug log! As captured by the messages you copy/pasted, the BotBase is not calling Singular. This isn't a case of Singular failing to fight back, it's a case of the Questing BotBase, Questing Profile, or Quest Behavior not telling Singular to Pull/Fight/Rest/etc. The Combat Routine is a tool used by those components and has be called repeatedly to perform any of those behaviors. The message stating Singular wasn't being called is a troubleshooting I added to assist myself and users in cases like this so it was clear what was happening. You will want to post this issue in HonorBuddy Support so they have visibility of it and can look into why the Combat Routine wasn't being called in that case. My guess is it has to do with the Activity message you also pasted, which is also emitted by those other components. Thanks for the post and good luck with your toon, Bobby53

This indicates the Questing botbase set the target that should be killed and attempted to move towards it, but for some reason did not call Singular behaviors to attack. If Singular is not called, then it doesn't have the opportunity to react appropriately. you are KIDDING me right? there is no LOG for it anyone with half a brain can start up singular with the rogue routine that is level 75 and lower or even 60 i believe it is and see that cloak and dagger does not work AT ALL because he runs 1 yard from every single mob.

The HonorBuddy Support staff monitors that thread and has a great deal more patience than I do for being talked to in a condescending fashion while being asked for assistance. My recommendation is you switch to using a different Combat Routine. If you decide to continue to use Singular, you can either use without posting here, or if you find the need to post in this thread again that you follow the steps that I provided and general rules established. I don't ask that you expend the exorbitant amount of energy I assume it takes to be polite -- only that you aren't rude or obnoxious. So, the choice is yours and I wish the best whichever path you elect to take so long as it isn't the one you began down in this post. -Bobby53

I really would not know what to tell you further on what is happening. The pet behaves normally and is not the problem. The problem is the toon that does not finish off the fights it starts, thus getting a growing number of mobs against it as it each time aggro's more.

Here is an example:

At LOGMARK #1 my character was doing .... and then started doing .....

That type of post allows me to look at a specific problem at the point it happened. Without your description being linked to a specific moment, there simply isn't enough information in the log file to locate what corresponds to your description.

While you are encountering problems be sure to always run with Log Level set to Diagnostic. You will find the Log Level setting by clicking Settings & Tools in HonorBuddy. The log file you provided earlier has Log Level set to Normal so it will contain only cosmetic information, which doesn't provide the info I will need to assist you.

As I mentioned, the description you provided pertains to the behavior of the BotBase, not the Combat Routine. You will ultimately need the HonorBuddy Devs to look into that. If you can provide them a post similar to what I have described it will go miles toward getting the issue looked into.

Ok well all I am saying is easily that it does not work plain and simple, I used the exact quote from the post and detailed what happens. Oh and also for leveling I would use a different CC that works with cloak and dagger but it would appear they are all mostly messed up and yours does work the best however. Just simply asking for an option for rogues to be able to vanish on whatever HP they want once they hit aggro and that you take a look at cloak and dagger not working properly.

Kiyumi, Thanks for the post with logs. Unfortunately there isn't enough information provided. To be able to research something that does not happen (in this case not attacking) will need:
1. A "debug" log file. Click Settings & Tools and set Log Level to Diagnostice
2. A LOGMARK at the point where you feel it should have attacked but did not.
Please see the Reporting Bugs [CLICK HERE] post for details on both.
I can say that the issue of not attacking is almost always a Bot issue. If that is the case, the "debug" version of a log file will indicate it as that activates code which keeps track of how much time has passed without the bot calling Singular. This is important because a Combat Routine can only attack when it is called since that is both how it is told to attack as well as given the opportunity to. You may want to try the HB Beta. Madske, In general, you do not have control over individual spells. If you can provide a log from such a Pull with and indicate the precise moment in the log file you are referring to (either via a LOGMARK or timestamp) I'll be happy to look into it. tumbum, We've discussed before but its been awhile so reviewing for you. Deciding to Pull is something the BotBase or Quest Behavior does. The Combat Routine exposes the Pull Behavior but it is up to the controlling components to decide when to call that. Unless InteractWith has been rewritten, it does not invoke Pull so the quest profile author would need to be aware of the choice being made (since it will make all your casters run into melee range before attacking.) You will need to follow up with Cava and if he has questions he can work with Chinajade on how to best get the behavior wanted.

From this section of the Emerald Lory encounter, it appears that Pull Distance was left at 0, which historically has prevented InteractWith from entering combat. You'll need to follow up with Cava on this as well.

cedricdu94, Hammer of the Righteous is cast if the target does not have the Weakened Blows aura. If you have a question about a specific occurrence of it being used, please see Reporting Bugs [CLICK HERE] so I can look into a specific instance for you. Be sure it is a debug log (created with Log Level => Diagnostic) and you add LOGMARK at the point where it was cast and you don't believe it should be. My fury warrior level 48 dont does anything since today. He just stand in front of the mob and wait. With Questbot.
