Is there any reason questbot isn't in this version? Or did I do something wrong.

Questing is still in there. I think they removed it from the German version, perhaps you downloaded the DE version by accident?

How do you get quests working. Sorry, quite new to HB.

I suggest to make a CLEAN install (delete old honorbuddy and install the new on a fresh folder) That is how you can avoid most of the problems if there are any.

I understand there is always risk when botting. But what is difference between this release and the older releases that seem to be detected and banned within a few hours of use?

We couldn't find a free WoW process to attach. Please make certain your toon is standing in game world and you are running latest version of Honorbuddy

If you are from Germany then there is not a questing bot for you if i understood right.
